CommBank Matildas forward Remy Siemsen said that the camp has instilled a sense of belief in her as a player, after her eye-catching performance against Slovenia on Sunday evening.
She featured heavily in the team’s build-up play and came close to scoring her first international goal in the process.

“[Joe Montemurro] has already instilled so much belief, not just in the starting players, but also the entire squad,” she said.
“I'm a confident player, and he's definitely instilled some confidence in me, and I think that was evident in the way that I played in the last game. I just felt belief from him, belief from the players around me, and it just helped me relax a little bit on the field - knowing that he backs me, that I could back myself.
“He really instills action and reaction. That is, if you make a mistake, how you react to it. So I'm thoroughly enjoying this camp. I'm really enjoying the training sessions. Every training session, every game, is so competitive. So I'm just really enjoying it.”
She expressed that she enjoyed herself out on the pitch with players like Ellie Carpenter and Amy Sayer.
“Honestly, I just wanted to enjoy myself out there,” she said.
“I haven't been in the national team consistently for the past couple of years, and I just really wanted to enjoy myself and play my natural game and not get in my head. So I really enjoyed it.
“Playing with Ellie Carpenter behind me made my life a lot easier. I played with Ellie for a number of years with the youth national teams, and that combination was something we worked on for a few years.
“It was nice to link together, as well as working with Amy Sayer and just having to play my part with the team. I’m really grateful to Joe allowing me that opportunity to play.”

After having just missed out on the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ squad, the 25-year-old is hoping to impress and secure a place in next year’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
“I’ve definitely got my sights set on that Asian Cup selection,” she said.
“I also just want to take it camp by camp and game by game, and not get too far ahead of myself. It’s easy to get ahead of yourself with when there's a tournament at home next year.
“I just want to… continue building and developing every time I come in.”
She said she was looking forward to traveling to Bunbury to take on Panama in the first of a two-game series next week.
“It's so important we get to meet all the fans from all across Australia,” she said.
“They're so important to us. We love seeing our fans in big cities, but also in the regional areas.
“It’s going to be an exciting game. Panama's not an easy opposition. They were in the World Cup a couple of years ago here in Perth. So we know that they're a tough opposition.
“It'll be a tough game. It'll just be great to see the fans, and hopefully we can put on another good performance.”
