It was a huge weekend for our Matildas Abroad, with three players - Ellie Carpenter, Mary Fowler and Alana Murphy - finding themselves on the scoresheet, while Holly McNamara effected the only goal of the game to secure Everton's first win of the season.
Elsewhere, Sam Kerr continues her fine form for Gotham FC - picking up an assist - while a Charli Grant assist put Malmö five points clear in European qualification places in Sweden.

England
WSL
The London City Lionesses fell 2-1 to West Ham in a surprising result to start the round. The Hammers took a two-goal lead early in the second half and, despite a Danielle van de Donk goal, the Lionesses were unable to overcome the deficit. Alanna Kennedy started in midfield and played 87 minutes for London City.
Chelsea made a statement in their second game of the season, defeating Manchester United 5-0. Ellie Carpenter played a key role for the Blues, starting at right-back and scoring the fourth goal, as well as making three key passes and having 11 touches in the opposition box. Chelsea will be hoping that the victory is a sign of things to come for the remainder of the campaign.
Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 with Liverpool. Clare Hunt remains unavailable for Spurs as she continues to recover from a knee injury.
Everton have defeated Charlton 1-0 to pick up their first win of the season. Their only goal was forced by Holly McNamara, who started for the Toffees. Her shot after skipping past defenders into the penalty area was deflected in for an own goal that ultimately proved the winner. She played the full game while teammate Clare Wheeler was an unused substitute. For Charlton, Leah Davidson and Emily van Egmond started while Young Matilda Grace Johnston came off the bench in the second half.
A last-minute equaliser saw Brighton & Hove Albion walk away with a point against Birmingham City. Charlie Rule was an unused substitute for the Seagulls.
Despite dominating the stats, accumulating 2.37 expected goals, Arsenal were held to a scoreless draw by Crystal Palace. Kyra Cooney-Cross started her first game of the season in midfield while Caitlin Foord was introduced in the second half. Steph Catley was an unused substitute.
Finally, Mary Fowler was on the scoresheet for the second week in a row as Manchester City defeated Aston Villa 4-1. City showed all of the qualities of defending champions and may well be favourites to defend their title this campaign. Fowler started, making a key pass and passing at 90% accuracy.
WSL2
Newcastle United defeated Bristol City 1-0 to make it a perfect start to the season. Alexia Apostolakis started for Bristol City at right-back, while Kaitlyn Torpey was her opposite at left-back for Newcastle. Torpey passed at 92% accuracy, had four progressive carries and completed 9/13 progressive passes in the win.
Alana Murphy made it two goals in two games for Nottingham Forest when she found the net just before half-time. Forest were two goals down to Watford when Murphy intercepted the ball just outside the penalty area, finishing well past the goalkeeper. The match ended 2-2. Leticia McKenna was not in the matchday squad, still only recently having signed.
Sweden
A 95th minute goal has seen FC Rosengård secure a vital three points against Uppsala. The result sees them lift out of the relegation zone with eight games remaining. Remy Siemsen started the match while Bryleeh Henry and Isabel Gomez were not in the matchday squad.
Charlotte Grant continued her positive start to life at Malmö FF, assisting the only goal in their 1-0 victory over Eskilstuna United. Malmö are now five points clear of their closest challengers to third-place. Grant, Courtney Nevin and Amy Sayer all started for Malmö.
Vittsjö GIK were defeated 4-0 by league leaders BK Häcken. Daniela Galic started and played 80 minutes.
United States
Gotham FC got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Racing Louisville. Sam Kerr played the full match up top, assisting the goal that would prove to be the winner early in the second half with a clever cutback across the face of goals to Jaedyn Shaw.
Mackenzie Arnold's Portland Thorns drew 1-1 against the Chicago Stars. An own goal by Maitane López at 22' gave the Roses the lead for most of the match, but it was a header by Chicago's Taylor Wood in the dying minutes of stoppage time (90+2') that would even the score.
Germany
Eintracht Frankfurt defeated TSG Hoffenheim 4-2. Hayley Raso made six progressive carries and contributed a key pass in her 58 minutes on the pitch, while Jamilla Rankin played the final ten minutes against her old side.
Italy
AS Roma are into another Serie A Cup final, defeating Sassuolo 7-1 in the semi-final of the Cup. Winonah Heatley was an unused substitute for Roma. They will take on Juventus next week in a rematch of last year’s final.
Canada
Calgary Wild are now six undefeated in the league with a 1-0 victory over Halifax Tides. Kahli Johnson started and played the full match, making three successful dribbles, earning three free kicks and continuing to play her part in the Wild’s uptick in form.
