A 36-player CommBank Matildas’ squad has been named to take on Brazil and Chinese Taipei in the final FIFA Women’s International Window of 2024.
Early season form has also seen reward for five players who received their first senior national team call up including Morgan Aquino (DC Power, USA), Leah Davidson (Melbourne City FC), Isabel Gomez (Central Coast Mariners FC), Hana Lowry (Sydney FC) and Natasha Prior (Newcastle Jets FC).
Forward and Gold Coast native, Hayley Raso (Tottenham Hotspur WFC), returns to the squad after a successful recovery from a hamstring injury while Brisbane’s Teagan Micah (Liverpool WFC) completed her rehabilitation of an ankle injury to also make the trip to Australia. Defender Kaitlyn Torpey (San Diego Wave FC) has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
First senior call-ups
Goalkeeper Morgan Aquino has earned her first senior call-up, the shot-stopper's form last season with Perth Glory saw her named Goalkeeper of the Year. The Perth native then made the move abroad, signing her first overseas contract when she joined DC Power in the inaugural USL Super League season.

Leah Davidson receives her first senior call-up for this window, the midfielder was integral to Melbourne City's premiership-winning run last season and has already been continuing to show this form for the 2024/25 season. Davidson, like Aquino, has featured for the Australian U23 Women's side recently.

Isabel Gomez is another midfielder on the end of a first senior call-up. The midfielder started her professional career playing for Wellington Phoenix, before joining the Central Coast Mariners for their return to the league and was a key cog in the midfield engine that saw them book a spot in the playoffs on their return to the league.

Hana Lowry is another young midfielder who receives a call-up, Lowry featured for the CommBank Young Matildas at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2022. After making 72 appearances for her hometown club, Perth Glory, the midfielder has made the switch to Sydney FC for the 2024/25 campaign.

The last player to receive a first senior call-up is defender Natasha Prior from the Newcastle Jets. The defender made her debut in the A-League with the Newcastle Jets, before spending the 2018/19 season with Canberra United. This season saw Prior suffer a nasty concussion in a game against Sydney FC, which was her fifth in less than six seasons, the defender opted to retire at the age of 21 following the continued head injuries. However, she made her return in the 2020/21 season for Sydney FC, before returning to the club she made her debut for, the Newcastle Jets, ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Returning Players
Hayley Raso and Teagan Micah return to the squad after injuries saw them miss the October FIFA International Window. Raso, the Gold Coast native, makes her return just in time to feature in front of her hometown crowd for the first time.

Micah has recovered from an ankle injury that saw her miss the start of the WSL season to be named in the squad for the team's final games of the year.

Emily Gielnik, Chloe Logarzo, Remy Siemsen and Alex Chidiac make their returns to the side after featuring in a number of camps throughout the years. Gielnik was last called up in April 2024 for a friendly against Mexico, but was forced to withdraw due to injury. Logarzo last featured in camp for Australia's home and away series against Uzbekistan in February 2024, while Chidiac's and Siemsen's last call-ups came for Australia's final games of 2023 against Canada.

Bryleeh Henry, Jessika Nash and Karly Roestbakken make their return to the squad after last featuring in camp in 2021/22, Henry has two appearances in green and gold to her name, with her debut actually coming against Brazil, one of the opponents for this window, while Nash has 1 cap to her name after making her starting debut against the USA in 2021. Roestbakken was part of a preliminary squad for the 2022 AFC Women's Asain Cup, but did not make the final roster.
Matilda McNamara is another returning face, with the defender making her debut back in November 2022 against Thailand. Since her debut, the defender has returned to her hometown club, Adelaide United, in the Ninja A-League Women's for the 2024/25 season.
