Melbourne City 5 – 1 Western United
Melbourne City made a big statement as they defeated Western United 5-1 on Wednesday evening.
Holly McNamara’s first-half hat trick was the second in her career, and her first since returning from her third ACL injury. It was a fantastic way to celebrate her first CommBank Matildas call-up since returning from said injury.
Lourdes Bosch and Rhianna Pollicina were City’s second-half goalscorers, while Chloe Logarzo scored a stunner for Western United.
Logarzo and Chloe Lincoln played the full match for Western. Laura Hughes and McNamara both started for City, while Bryleeh Henry came off the bench. Karly Roestbakken and Leah Davidson were unavailable with minor injuries.
Adelaide United v Perth Glory
Date: Friday, 7 February
Kickoff: 4.50pm AEDT
Venue: Hindmarsh Stadium
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: Ticketek
Round 15 kicks off with a Friday night fixture between Adelaide United and Perth Glory.
Adelaide is on a club-record seven-game undefeated streak, and is currently third on the table as a result. They will be favourites against a Perth Glory side ravaged by injury. However, the Glory are not to be underestimated – after their dramatic victory over Brisbane only a couple of weeks ago, they made it clear that at their best, they can challenge any team in the competition.
Matilda McNamara will be available for Adelaide in the heart of their defence.
Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne Victory
Date: Saturday, 8 February
Kickoff: 2pm AEDT
Venue: Porirua Park
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: Flicket
Wellington Phoenix will be hoping a home-ground advantage can get them over the line over second-place Melbourne Victory on Saturday.
The Phoenix have found themselves three points outside of the top six after a challenging defeat against the Mariners last week. At home, in particular, they are a force to be reckoned with. That is something that Victory will have to contend with as they hope to keep the pressure on City at the top of the table.
Alex Chidiac and Emily Gielnik will be available for Victory.
Canberra United v Central Coast Mariners
Date: Saturday, 8 February
Kickoff: 5pm AEDT
Venue: McKellar Park
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: TicketSearch
For the second week in a row, the Mariners face a match that could determine their top six place, as they take on Canberra United.
The Mariners are currently in fifth, two points clear of Canberra in seventh. A win for the home side would see them leapfrog both the Mariners and Western United back into final places. Three points for the Mariners, meanwhile, would solidify them as finals contenders and could even see them finish the round ahead of the Roar.
Jessika Nash will be available for the Mariners while Michelle Heyman is in line to be available for Canberra.
Newcastle Jets v Melbourne City
Date: Saturday, 8 February
Kickoff: 7.45pm AEDT
Venue: McDonald Jones Stadium
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: TicketMaster
The Newcastle Jets take on top-of-the-table Melbourne City as they stare down the barrel of having to win every game to make an unlikely finals run.
The Jets have shown glimpses of their ability this season and if they can find the back of the net early may well be able to go toe-to-toe with City. However, their conversion rate has been an issue – and City are exactly the kind of team that could punish them for not being spot on.
The Jets will welcome back Tash Prior for this game. For City, Holly McNamara, Laura Hughes, Karly Roestbakken and Bryleeh Henry will be available, while Leah Davidson is unavailable due to injury.
Western Sydney Wanderers v Brisbane Roar
Date: Sunday, 9 February
Kickoff: 5pm AEDT
Venue: Wanderers Football Park
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: TicketMaster
The Western Sydney Wanderers will be playing for pride for the remainder of the season and there would be no better place to start than securing the scalp of the Brisbane Roar.
The Wanderers only have one win to their name this season but will be determined to avoid finishing bottom of the table. This is an important game for the Roar, though, who need to keep picking up wins to make their finals place a bit more comfortable.
Laini Freier and Tameka Yallop will be available for the Roar, while Sharn Freier is unavailable with an ankle injury.

Sydney FC v Western United
Date: Sunday, 9 February
Kickoff: 5pm AEDT
Venue: Leichhardt Oval
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: Ticketek
It is now or never for Sydney FC as they host Western United on Sunday.
Sydney’s position, second-bottom of the table, means that three points this weekend and for the rest of the season are necessary if they want to avoid missing out on finals for the first time in their history. Their opponents, Western United, come off a mid-week defeat but have shown their class at different times and will be motivated to get three points that will keep them in the top six.
Chloe Logarzo and Chloe Lincoln will be available for Western United.
