The Western Sydney Wanderers are out to prove that their three-game winning run was no fluke when they host the Newcastle Jets.
Both the Wanderers and the Jets are still outside chances to finish in the top six, and a win here for either side could be crucial for that ambition. The Jets will be contending with an extensive injury list, including goalkeeper Anna Leat and captain Cass Davis, while the Wanderers are without the likes of Kim Soeun and Holly Caspers.
Natasha Prior will be available for the Jets

Brisbane Roar host Sydney FC as they hope to bounce back after last week’s defeat.
The Roar have dropped to fifth on the table, but are still only four points away from the top. Three points here could see them finish the round as high as second and would help secure their top-six place. Sydney, meanwhile, is searching for a win that could lift them off the bottom of the ladder.
Chloe Lincoln will be available for the Roar, while Sharn Freier, Grace Kuilamu and Tameka Yallop are all unavailable with injury.
Perth Glory v Canberra United

Perth Glory will be hoping that their superb home record can help them over the line against a still high-flying Canberra United.
A win for the Glory could see them finish the round back in top-six contention. Canberra, meanwhile, are fighting for top spot – three points would mean they finish Saturday, at least, in pole position.
Michelle Heyman will be available for Canberra.

The ‘Nix are on a fantastic run of four wins in a row and look set to make finals for the first time in club history. The Mariners have had much patchier form, and now find themselves out of the top six. Any points they can get from Wellington will be much needed as they look to climb back into the top.

A massive Melbourne Derby is the final game of Round 17, in a match that could have huge implications for both sides.
Defeat for Melbourne Victory could see them drop out of the top six and, with not too many games to go, could have dire consequences for their season. They have not earned three points against Melbourne City since March 2023. City, for their part, welcome back midfielder Leah Davidson from injury at the best possible time, as they navigate stern challenges for their Premiership title.
Holly McNamara, Karly Roestbakken, Bryleeh Henry and Alexia Apostolakis will all be available for Melbourne City in this key fixture.
