The rivalry between the Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne City will reignite on Friday when City travels to Gosford to take on the defending champions.

Coming off the back of a vital win against the Wellington Phoenix, the Mariners will be hoping for three points that will give themselves a buffer in the top six. From City’s perspective, they need to keep winning to stave off the Premiership contenders that are breathing down their necks.

Holly McNamara will be available for Melbourne City.

Melbourne Victory v Wellington Phoenix

It’s another huge Friday night clash as Melbourne Victory welcome the Wellington Phoenix to the Home of the Matildas.

Melbourne Victory are at serious risk of missing out on the top six, currently one point away but with one less game to play. Their final four home and away games must be treated as elimination finals in their own right as a result.

The Phoenix are in a slightly better spot, still in a position to challenge for the Premiership, but know that they are only a couple of defeats away from dropping out of finals altogether.

Canberra United v Western Sydney Wanderers

Date: Saturday, 21 February
Venue: McKellar Park
Kickoff: 4.30pm AEDT

The Western Sydney Wanderers will hope to cling on to their finals hopes when they travel to take on Canberra United on Saturday.

Canberra are only three points away from the top of the table, but, similarly to all the teams in finals contention, is also only one defeat away from potentially dropping out. They’ll hope their home fans can motivate them to an important three points. Michelle Heyman will be available for Canberra.

The Wanderers are six points away from sixth but, with four games remaining, will cling to hopes that they can resurrect their season with consecutive wins here.

Newcastle Jets v Perth Glory

Date: Saturday, 21 February
Venue: No.2 Sportsground
Kickoff: 5pm AEDT
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+

Newcastle Jets and Perth Glory have both shown glimpses of quality this season, but will need to have it on full display when they clash on Saturday.

The Jets have had extraordinary highs this season, but haven’t been able to replicate those consistently. They’ll have their work cut out for them against a defensively sturdy Perth Glory side.

The Glory, meanwhile, is only two points away from the finals. An away win here could see them finish the round as high as fifth as they hope to reach their first finals campaign since 2018/19.

Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United

Date: Sunday, 22 February
Venue: Spencer Park
Kickoff: 6pm AEDT
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+

It’s sixth against fourth in another key battle for finals places between Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United.

The Roar have struggled of late after having a squad depleted due to injuries and will hope that a home crowd can help lift them into form once again. Tameka Yallop will be unavailable due to an ongoing injury.

After a shaky start to the season, Adelaide now find themselves in a position where they could arguably challenge for top of the table. They have games in hand on most of the teams around them and will be looking to capitalise on that on Sunday.
