Western United v Melbourne City

Date: Friday, 17 January
Kickoff: 7.35pm AEDT
Venue: Ironbark Fields, Tarneit
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: Ticketek

Western United are the latest side hoping to break Melbourne City’s unbeaten season when they host the defending premiers on Friday evening.

Remarkably, City have still never beaten Western United. Western seem to go to another level against their cross-city rivals and they will be relying on that on Friday after some up-and-down form this season has seen them drop out of the top six.

Laura Hughes, Leah Davidson, Karly Roestbakken, Bryleeh Henry and Holly McNamara will all be available for City. McNamara was passed fit to start for the first time since returning from injury last week.

Chloe Logarzo and Chloe Lincoln will be available for Western United.

Canberra United v Western Sydney Wanderers

Date: Saturday, 18 January
Kickoff: 5pm AEDT
Venue: McKellar Park
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: TicketSearch

Canberra United takes on a struggling Western Sydney Wanderers in a match that would be a big three points for both sides.

After a midweek game against Sydney that was abandoned due to thunderstorms – but not before conceding two goals – Canberra will be keen to return to the kind of performance that earned them consecutive victories against Brisbane and Western United.

Meanwhile, after two heavy defeats, the Western Sydney Wanderers will want to show the signs of life that they showed when they drew 4-4 with Melbourne Victory only a few weeks ago.

Michelle Heyman will be available for Canberra.

Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory

Date: Saturday, 18 January
Kickoff: 6pm AEDT
Venue: The Home of the Matildas
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: Ticketek

Melbourne Victory hosts a Perth Glory side who need points if they are to challenge for the top six.

Victory currently sit in third, four points away from City in first, after a comfortable victory against the Jets last week. They will be favourites against the Glory but will need to be careful against their attack, particularly in transition, where they have shown this season that they can be vulnerable.

Alex Chidiac and Emily Gielnik will be available for Melbourne Victory.

Wellington Phoenix v Newcastle Jets

Date: Sunday, 19 January
Kickoff: 2pm AEDT
Venue: Porirua Park
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: Flicket

The Wellington Phoenix return home with a match-up against the Newcastle Jets on Sunday.

The Phoenix have been in good form yesterday but perhaps just ran out of steam against Adelaide last week after a full week on the road in Australia. Three points back home in New Zealand will be crucial as they look to solidify their place in the top six.

The Jets, meanwhile, will welcome back Natasha Prior and Sheridan Gallagher as they hope to lift themselves towards finals contention in the second half of the season.

Sydney FC v Central Coast Mariners

Date: Sunday, 19 January
Kickoff: 5pm AEDT
Venue: Leichhardt Oval
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: Ticketek

Sydney FC host the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday, with both teams looking to consolidate after wins.

A victory for Sydney could continue their momentum after their performance against Canberra midweek, while the Mariners will look to push back into the top six with their second win against Sydney for the season.

Jessika Nash will be available for the Mariners.

Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United

Date: Sunday, 19 January
Kickoff: 6pm AEDT
Venue: Perry Park
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+
Tickets: Ticketek

The Roar will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat to Melbourne City last week with a top-four clash against Adelaide United.

Brisbane have proven that they can be a free-flowing attacking force, but will have their hands full against an Adelaide United side who are themselves full of confidence. If Adelaide can get the win, they will go above Brisbane into at least third.

Tameka Yallop and Sharn Frier will both be available for Brisbane. Meanwhile, Matilda McNamara will be available for Adelaide.
