Melbourne City look to retain their place on top of the table when they host the Newcastle Jets on Friday night to begin the round.

City have won four games on the bounce since their defeat to Canberra United earlier in the season, and have shown no signs of slowing down. Holly McNamara could go back top of the golden boot race with a brace, while Alexia Apostolakis and Bryleeh Henry will all be available for City.

The Jets are preparing for their third game in six days. Their win against Sydney saw them rise back into the top six, and they'll be hoping for any points to try to keep them there. Natasha Prior will be available for Newcastle.

The Western Sydney Wanderers are out for their second win of the season when they take on the team they beat for their first - the Brisbane Roar - on Friday evening.

The Wanderers will be hoping to replicate some of the green shoots they have shown over the past few weeks and put them together to secure three points. The Roar, meanwhile, are coming off the back of a fantastic win against Melbourne Victory, and will be hoping for a win that could catapult them back into the top six.

Chloe Lincoln and Sharn Freier will be available for the Roar, with Grace Kuilamu and Tameka Yallop unavailable due to injury. Chloe Berryhill will be available for the Wanderers.

The Pride Cup comes to Adelaide once more as Adelaide United and Melbourne Victory face off in a key original rivalry.

Despite a recent uptick in form, the Reds still find themselves outside of the top six. They will see this game as a key opportunity to get three points against a Melbourne Victory team who have now lost five games in eleven. They will have to defy history to do so, though, having not beaten Victory since 2022.

Adriana Taranto will be available for Adelaide United.

Canberra United v Wellington Phoenix

The Wellington Phoenix will be desperate to turn around their faltering away form when they take on Canberra United in the Capital Clash on Saturday.

Canberra are currently second on the table, having not tasted defeat since Round 3. Their opponents have shown that they can be clinical this season, though, and if everything comes together, they will back themselves to walk away from Canberra with all three points.

Michelle Heyman will be available for Canberra.

Perth Glory have won four out of their last five games - but all of those wins have been at home. They'll be looking to right their form away from home when they travel to Gosford to take on the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday.

The Mariners have had up-and-down form this season, but will be delighted with their victory over the Jets last week. They'll be hoping that they can continue to find a way against a Perth Glory side who are fifth on the table, two points below them but with a game in hand.

Izzy Gomez will return to the matchday squad of the Mariners after serving her suspension for yellow card accumulation last week.
