Chloe Logarzo got scoring underway through a penalty early, before Melissa Taranto, Sara Eggesvik, and Kiara De Domizio made it four for the home side. Sienna Saveska did add to her impressive season with an Olimpico goal direct from a corner in the first half, but Western United never looked too threatened.

Logarzo and Chloe Lincoln both started and played the full match for Western United.

Sydney FC 2 – 3 Adelaide United

A dramatic finish culminated in Adelaide United picking up their first-ever win against Sydney FC in Sydney.

The visitors led by two goals early in the second half when Emily Condon completed her brace. It was always going to be a tall order for Sydney to get back into the game, but when Millie Farrow scored a stoppage-time equaliser after Indiana dos Santos got a goal back earlier, the home side thought they had rescued a point.

However, there was more stoppage time drama to come. Straight from kickoff, the ball found Chelsie Dawber, who finished well into the bottom corner to earn her side three points.

Matilda McNamara started and played the full match for the Reds.

Central Coast Mariners 5 – 1 Newcastle Jets

The Central Coast Mariners were comprehensive F3 Derby winners, defeating the Jets 5-1 and scoring five goals for the first time since their reintroduction to the competition.

It was a relatively even first half and the game could have gone much differently had Newcastle taken more of their chances. Brooke Nunn scored first for the Mariners before Josie Allan equalised. Bianca Galic made it 2-1 at the break, but at that stage it was still anyone’s game.

The Mariners exploded out of the blocks in the second half. 16-year-old Tiana Fuller scored her fourth goal of the season after the break, before Jade Pennock and Peta Trimis made it five. Newcastle’s Claudia Cicco was given a red card for a denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity in the 77th minute.

Jessika Nash started and played the full match for the Mariners, while Tash Prior was unavailable for the Jets.

Canberra United 1 – 0 Perth Glory

Despite only accumulating three shots and 42% possession, Canberra United held on for a 1-0 victory against Perth Glory.

Defender Elizabeth Anton’s second-half goal proved to be the difference in a frustrating outing for Perth, who would have felt like they deserved to walk away with at least a point. However, the only statistic that matters is the scoreline, and Canberra’s defence held firm in another impressive performance.

Michelle Heyman was unavailable for Canberra United.

Melbourne City 1 – 1 Melbourne Victory

Melbourne City came from behind for the seventh time this season to rescue their unbeaten run, walking away with a 1-1 draw with second-place Melbourne Victory.

Rachel Lowe scored in the fifth minute for Victory and the score remained 1-0 for the majority of the game. City had a number of chances but it seemed that the game was meandering towards their first defeat of the season. However, they managed to find a way once again – a great assist from Rhianna Pollicina found Mariana Speckmaier in the box, who managed to tap it home.

Laura Hughes, Leah Davidson and Holly McNamara started for City, while Karly Roestbakken came off the bench. Bryleeh Henry was unavailable due to concussion protocols.

Alex Chidiac and Emily Gielnik started and played the full match for Victory.

Brisbane Roar 1 – 0 Wellington Phoenix

The Brisbane Roar snapped a three-game losing streak and solidified their place in the top six with a 1-0 victory over the Wellington Phoenix.

Grace Kuilamu’s second-half header separated the two teams. Despite the Phoenix having a total of 22 shots and more possession, they were not able to find the back of the net in a frustrating match for the visitors.

Tameka Yallop started the match while Sharn Freier was unavailable due to an ankle injury.
