Newcastle Jets v Western Sydney Wanderers

The Newcastle Jets host a Western Sydney Wanderers side flying high after victory over the Roar last week in what is set to be a fascinating battle.

The Jets have a win and a draw to their name in two games so far this season, quietly - and effectively - going about their work. A victory would certainly turn heads, particularly after the Wanderers defeated the Roar in Brisbane last week. For their part, three points for the Wanderers would catapult them into the top six conversation.

Natasha Prior will be available in the centre of defence for the Jets.

Canberra United v Perth Glory

Canberra United hosts Perth Glory in a highly unpredictable clash between two exciting teams.

Canberra have gone ahead in all three games so far this season, but has yet to seal the deal with a victory. They have looked to play with more adventure this season and will hope to finally be rewarded for that against Perth. The Glory, meanwhile, will hope that a welcome return from injury for Georgia Cassidy in midfield can elevate them after consecutive defeats.

Michelle Heyman is expected to lead the line and take the captain's armband for Canberra.

Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne Victory

Date: Sunday, 23 November
Venue: McKellar Park
Kickoff: 4pm local, 2pm AEDT
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+

The Wellington Phoenix are looking for their first win of the season against a Melbourne Victory side showing no signs of slowing down.

The Phoenix were hit with a devastating double injury blow this week, as Alyssa Whinham and Dutch import Tessel Middag were ruled out for the season with serious knee injuries. They'll need to find a way to bounce back against a Victory team who are looking ruthless, and good value for the pre-season favouritism.

Three points for Victory could see them finish the round at the top of the table.

Sydney FC v Central Coast Mariners

Date: Sunday, 23 November
Venue: Leichhardt Oval
Kickoff: 4pm AEDT
Broadcast: 10Play and Paramount+

The undefeated Sydney FC take on a Central Coast Mariners side coming off the back of consecutive defeats.

Sydney weathered a figurative and literal storm last week as they defeated Perth Glory 2-0, with goals from open play and looked as confident as they have looked all season. The Mariners, meanwhile, struggled against Victory but have already shown what they can do this season with their comprehensive opening round win - they'll hope that they can find their best again when they take on a Sydney side who have become somewhat of a rival team since their reintroduction into the competition.

Isabel Gomez will be available for the Mariners as she looks to build her minutes on the back of a niggling injury.

Brisbane Roar have the bye this week.
