Brisbane Roar and Melbourne City have a one-goal advantage in their respective semi-finals after the first leg on the weekend.
Leticia McKenna was the goalscorer for City, while Tameka Yallop and Chloe Lincoln played their part in Brisbane’s win.

It’s advantage to the premiers Melbourne City in the first leg as they narrowly overcame Melbourne rivals Victory 1-0 at AAMI Park.
Leticia McKenna scored the only goal of the game. Lining up a free kick from a tight angle, it proved too much for Victory to handle and was enough to give them a narrow advantage heading into the second leg.

Brisbane Roar 2 – 1 Wellington Phoenix
The Brisbane Roar made their home ground advantage count, defeating Wellington Phoenix 2-1 and travelling to Wellington for the second leg with a crucial one goal buffer.
The Phoenix scored within minutes thanks to Grace Jale but the Roar soon hit back. Momo Hayashi scored a bullet header at the back post to equalise before CommBank Young Matilda Daisy Brown made it eight goals for the season, scoring the winner in the 72nd minute.
Chloe Lincoln was between the sticks for the Roar while Tameka Yallop was a second-half substitute.
