Mary Fowler picked up two assists against Liverpool as she became the first player in WSL history to contribute at least two goal contributions in four consecutive games.
Elsewhere, Caitlin Foord also contributed two assists in a massive North London Derby victory, while Emily van Egmond started for the first time for Birmingham City.

Women’s Super League
Arsenal had a decisive victory in the North London Derby, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 5-0. Caitlin Foord picked up two assists as Mariona Caldentey, Frida Maanum, Alessia Russo and Emily Fox were on the scoresheet.

Foord, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Steph Catley all started the match for the Gunners. On the other side, Hayley Raso and Clare Hunt both started for Spurs while Charli Grant was a second-half substitute.
The result keeps Arsenal in third on the table.
Elsewhere, Chelsea required a stoppage-time winner from Lauren James to defeat Everton 2-1. Everton scored first early in the second half before Mayra Ramirez and James’ goals ensured three points for Chelsea. Sam Kerr remains unavailable for Chelsea while Clare Wheeler was unavailable for Everton with the injury that has kept her out of the CommBank Matildas squad.
Leicester City picked up an important three points against Aston Villa. Janice Cayman scored a brace before Julia Thibaud made sure of the result. Courtney Nevin was an unused substitute for the Foxes.
West Ham defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 to continue their good midseason form. Shekiera Martinez, Riko Ueki and Viviane Aasseyi were the goalscorers for the Hammers. Katrina Gorry started and played the full match in midfield for West Ham.

Mary Fowler became the first player in the WSL to be involved in two goals for four consecutive games as she picked up two assists in Manchester City’s 4-0 victory over Liverpool. Khadija Shaw scored a brace in the first half – both assisted by Fowler – before Jill Roord and Gracie Prior scored in the second.
Fowler started the match before being withdrawn in the second half, while Teagan Micah was in goals for Liverpool.
Women’s Championship
Birmingham City picked up an important 1-0 victory over Sheffield United to remain top of the league. Shannon Cooke’s goal in the first half was enough for them to seal victory against a resilient Sheffield. Emily van Egmond started for the first time and played the full game for her new side.
France
Lyon defeated Guingamp 7-0 to make a statement in the league before the international break. Kadidiatou Diani scored a hattrick as the French champions ran riot. Ellie Carpenter started the match at right-back.
USA
Alanna Kennedy made her first appearance for Angel City in their pre-season game at the Coachella Valley Invitational, starting for Angel City in their 2-1 win over Mackenzie Arnold's Portland Thorns, with Arnold starting for Thorns and making a penalty save on Christen Press' attempt.
Kaitlyn Torpey's San Diego Wave played out a 0-0 draw against Houston Dash in the same tournament, with the defender not featuring in the matchday squad.
Netherlands
FC Twente has defeated Ajax 2-0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the KNVB Women’s Cup. Rose Ivens and Kayleigh van Dooren scored the goals to knock out a strong team and keep Twente on the path to silverware. Daniela Galic was an unused substitute for Twente.
Germany
TSG Hoffenheim once again secured a massive victory over a strong opponent with a 1-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen. Selina Cerci’s second-half goal secured the result and a massive three points for Hoffenheim. Jamilla Rankin started and played the full match.
Sweden
DFF Kristianstads continued their promising pre-season form with a 1-0 victory over FC Rosengard. It is their final preseason game before the Swedish Cup starts after the international break. Remy Siemsen was rotated out of the starting eleven for this friendly after a successful few games.
