Chelsea defeated London City Lionesses 2-0 in their first WSL derby after the Lionesses’ promotion. Ellie Carpenter scored early to give the Blues the lead before Sam Kerr sealed the result in stoppage time with a goal from outside the penalty area. Kerr replaced Carpenter in the 74th minute as the striker continues to build her match minutes. Alanna Kennedy was an unused substitute for the Lionesses.

Manchester City compounded West Ham’s woes this season, overcoming them 1-0. Aoba Fujino’s first-half goal was enough for City to secure all three points. Katrina Gorry played the full match in midfield for the Hammers, while Mary Fowler remains unavailable for City as she continues her ACL rehabilitation.

Aston Villa and Everton played out a raucous 3-3 draw. Everton took the lead early through Kelly Gago before Villa overtook them midway through the second half. The Toffees were able to hold on, however, equalising twice – first through Hikaru Kitagawa, and then through Gago’s second goal in the 90th minute. Clare Wheeler played the full game in midfield for Everton.

Arsenal picked up a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Leicester City. Stina Blackstenius scored a brace as the Gunners overran the Foxes. Emily van Egmond came off the bench at halftime for Leicester City and picked up the assist for their solitary goal.

Liverpool remain without a single league point, defeated 2-1 by Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend. AIK Fotboll were defeated 2-1 by Vittsjö GIK. Vittsjö scored twice in quick succession after the half-time break to overcome a deficit and walk away with three points. Jada Whyman remains unavailable for AIK due to injury, while Daniela Galic picked up an assist after starting for Vittsjö.

Kristianstads DFF were defeated 4-2 by Djurgården. The visitors scored all four goals in the first half. Kristianstads made three changes at half-time, including introducing Remy Siemsen and Amy Sayer, to steady the ship – but they weren’t able to overcome the significant deficit. The result means that the highest Kristianstads can finish is fifth.

Malmö FF are out of the title race after a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Piteå IF. Malmö scored first but goals to Selina Henriksson and Cecilia Edlund consigned them to their fifth loss of the season. Courtney Nevin started and played the full game for Malmö.
