Football is back in many European leagues this week with CommBank Matildas heavily involved in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, the Division 1 Feminine has already begun, with Ellie Carpenter’s Lyon already off to a winning start.

England
Arsenal will host Bristol City on Sunday, 11.30 pm AEDT. Bristol have been in good form in the championship after being relegated last season, but Arsenal will be out to make a statement that they are still title contenders in the WSL. Steph Catley, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Caitlin Foord will all be available for the Gunners.
Manchester City host Ipswich Town on Monday, 12.00 am AEDT. It is a huge occasion for Ipswich who are currently in the third tier of English football. Mary Fowler and Alanna Kennedy will be available for City.
Everton host Tottenham Hotspur in an all-WSL match up on Monday, 12.00 am AEDT. It’s a tough draw for both sides who will be hoping a win can spark an exciting cup run. Charli Grant, Clare Hunt and Hayley Raso will be available for Spurs, while Clare Wheeler will be available to run the midfield for Everton.
Leicester City take on third-tier Stoke City on Monday, 12.00 am AEDT. Like Ipswich, it will be a big occasion for Stoke, but one that Leicester are expected to walk away victorious from. Courtney Nevin will be available for the Foxes.
West Ham and Liverpool clash on Monday, 1.00 am AEDT. A win would set both sides up for a positive start to 2025. Katrina Gorry will be available for the Hammers while Teagan Micah will hope to line up for Liverpool.
Chelsea take on championship side Charlton Athletic on Monday, 2.00 am AEDT. The Blues will be hoping for a good start to their campaign after their disappointing loss to Manchester United in the semi-finals last time out. Sam Kerr will still be unavailable to play for Chelsea, but is showing positive signs in her ACL recovery and is back in team training.

France
In the first league game back after the winter break, Lyon defeated Dijon 2-0 to extend their lead on top of the table. Vanessa Gilles and Danielle van de Donk were the goalscorers. Ellie Carpenter started and played the full match at right-back.
They take on Reims in the Coupe de France on Monday, 3.00 am AEDT. They will be keen to make a good start in the competition after unexpectedly falling short in the semi-final last season. Carpenter will once again be available for the French champions.
