League Cup
Two first-half goals helped Chelsea ease past West Ham 2-0 to advance to advance to their fourth League Cup final in a row. Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Sjoeke Nusken were on the scoresheet as West Ham had few answers to a Chelsea side who are still undefeated this season.
Katrina Gorry played the full game for West Ham in midfield, while Sam Kerr remains unavailable for Chelsea as she rehabilitates her ACL injury.
A brace, including a stoppage-time winner, to Mary Fowler meant that Manchester City defeated Arsenal 2-1. Fowler opened the scoring in the first half before Arsenal’s Mariona Caldentey equalised via the penalty spot in the second. Fowler had the opportunity to regain the lead minutes later, but saw her penalty saved – her stoppage time winner was redemption and reward for a fantastic performance.
Fowler started and played the full match up front for City. Kyra Cooney-Cross and Steph Catley started for the Gunners, while Caitlin Foord came off the bench in the 74th minute.
