Isabel Gomez has claimed the top prize overnight at the Dolan Warren Awards 2026, being awarded the Julie Dolan Medal for the first time in her career, after an outstanding campaign for the Central Coast Mariners.
Gomez just beat out her fellow CommBank Matilda, Holly McNamara, to the top award, with the Central Coast Mariners midfielder claiming 20 votes and the Melbourne City striker picking up 19 votes over the season.
The midfielder made 17 appearances this season for the Mariners, with 15 of those games starting as she led the team in assists, ending the season with 6 assists. Gomez found the back of the net four times over the season and impressed, which saw her recalled to the CommBank Matildas squad for the first time since making her debut in June 2025, for the FIFA Series 2026™.
CommBank Young Matildas Peta Trimis won the Goal of the Season for her strike against Melbourne Victory in the Round 9 clash, finding the top corner from 26 yards out.
