Ellie Carpenter shortlisted for the FIFPro Women’s World XI

CommBank Matildas defender Ellie Carpenter has been shortlisted for the FIFPro Women's World XI award, nominated for the award by her fellow players.

Carpenter is among 26 players shortlisted for the prestigious team, which is made up of the 11 players who receive the most votes from their peers in each position.

Over 6,000 women’s footballers have voted for their team of the year. The World 11 is the only global football award decided exclusively by professional footballers.

The FIFPRO Women’s World 11 finalists are the 26 women’s football players who received the most votes from their peers for their performances from 11 August 2024 to 3 August 2025 inclusive. Players must have appeared in at least 20 official matches during that period.

The goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards who have received the most votes will be selected for the World 11. The final spot in the World 11 will be assigned to the remaining outfield player with the next highest number of votes.

FIFPRO will announce the World 11 on Tuesday, 4th November 2025, from 12am AEDT on its digital platforms.
