The CommBank Junior Matildas are officially on their way to the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026™ after toppling Singapore in their second qualifying match of the week.
Following their 22-0 demolition of the Northern Mariana Islands on Monday, the CommBank Junior Matildas continued their winning form, defeating the hosts 11-0 at Bishan Stadium.
Theodora Mouithys Mickalad was the star from the start, hitting home her first of four goals for the match in the 11th minute. These were soon followed by goals two, three and four - for Australia and Mouithys Mickalad - all within the opening 20 minutes.
Claire Corbett, Willa Pearson, Izabella Rako, and Keira Sarris joined Mouithys Mickalad on the scoresheet, as the Singaporean goalkeeper received a red card before Australia finished the first half nine goals ahead.

After the break, half-time substitute Maeve Nicholas had an immediate impact before Rako continued on with her blistering form for the week, completing a hat-trick and taking Australia to an 11-0 win.
The result means the CommBank Junior Matildas finish top of Group E with two wins from two matches, scoring 33 goals without conceding.
Their qualification secures a place among Asia’s best eight teams at the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup, to be held in China next April. The tournament also serves as the official pathway to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026, offering a major opportunity for the next generation of Australian talent to test themselves on the international stage.
