Heatley earned her first senior call-up for Australia in September 2021, following strong form with Swedish side Växjö DFF, the defender was called up for a friendly against the Republic of Ireland.
The defender was then part of the initial selections for the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup but ultimately didn't make the final squad for the tournament. She would then be called into camp for a two-match friendly series against Spain and Portugal in June 2022. Heatley has featured for the U-23 national team as well as featuring in the 2022 AFF Women's Championships side.
Heatley earned a recall to the senior national team following impressive performances with the U-23 side as well as her Danish side, FC Nordsjælland, featuring in the squad for Australia's friendly against Mexico in April 2024.
