Adelaide United 0 – 2 Wellington Phoenix

Wellington Phoenix secured their place in the semi-finals with a 2-0 victory over Adelaide United.

Marisa van der Meer and Brooke Nunn scored two quickfire goals in the first half to help the Phoenix create history. Their second-place finish is the highest in their history, and they will have an extra week to relax after earning the right to miss the elimination finals.

Adelaide United will take on Brisbane Roar in the second elimination final on Saturday, 25 April.

Perth Glory 0 – 1 Melbourne Victory

Melbourne Victory leapt into the top six off the back of a tight away victory against Perth Glory on Friday night.

Kiwi defender Claudia Bunge scored the only goal of the game from a set piece in the first half. Despite having significantly less possession, Victory found a way – as they often do – and, due to results elsewhere, secured a place in the elimination finals against Canberra on Saturday, 25 April.

Central Coast Mariners 0 – 0 Sydney FC

Central Coast Mariners’ finals hopes were scuppered by Sydney FC after a scoreless draw in Gosford on Saturday.

The Mariners needed to win in order to secure a place in the postseason. However, despite dominating most of the game, they were unable to find a way through a sturdy Sydney defence.

Isabel Gomez was unavailable for the Mariners, suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

Canberra United 1 – 2 Brisbane Roar

The Brisbane Roar defeated Canberra United 2-1 at McKellar Park to secure finals football for the first time since 2021.

Aimee Medwin and Alicia Woods scored for Brisbane to earn the all-important three points. It got nervy for Brisbane - Michelle Heyman pulled one back for Canberra, and then Chloe Lincoln was required to save a penalty late in the second half - but they got the job done.

Heyman started for Canberra, while Lincoln did the same for Brisbane. Tameka Yallop was a second-half substitute for the Roar.

Newcastle Jets 1 – 2 Melbourne City

A stoppage-time winner from Danielle Turner saw Melbourne City end the regular season with a 2-1 victory over Newcastle Jets.

Newcastle opened the scoring through Melina Ayres, before Aideen Keane struck to equalise. City struck the crossbar a remarkable three times until the winner finally came in stoppage time.

Holly McNamara was unavailable for City due to symptoms of a concussion. Leticia McKenna started, however, and played the full game.

City finished the season six points clear at the top of the table.
