London City Lionesses picked up their first win of the season, defeating Everton 2-1. Isobel Goodwin scored a brace either side of half-time to secure the three points. Clare Wheeler started in midfield for Everton, while Alanna Kennedy was a second-half substitute for the Lionesses.
Manchester City defeated Tottenham Hotspur 5-1. There were five different goal scorers as Spurs were brought back to earth after a positive start to the season. Clare Hunt and Charli Grant both started for Spurs, while Mary Fowler remains unavailable for City as she rehabilitates her ACL rupture.
Chelsea were not overly convincing, but they defeated Leicester City 1-0 thanks to an early Aggie Beever-Jones goal. It was another positive performance for Leicester, even in defeat, who look set to defy pre-season expectations. Ellie Carpenter started for Chelsea, while Sam Kerr came off the bench in the second half. Emily van Egmond played the full game in midfield for the Foxes.

Brighton & Hove Albion were clinical against West Ham, walking away 4-1 victors. The goals were evenly spread for the Seagulls, who did not relent in their pressure throughout the contest. Katrina Gorry played the full match in midfield for the Hammers, while Charlie Rule started at right back for Brighton.
Manchester United and Arsenal played out a scoreless draw as the title contenders felt each other out early in the season. Steph Catley and Caitlin Foord both started for the Gunners while Kyra Cooney-Cross was an unused substitute.

NWSL
The North Carolina Courage defeated Orlando Pride 1-0 to elevate themselves into the top eight. Shinomi Koyama scored the late winner in the 89th minute. Cortnee Vine started up top for North Carolina.
The Portland Thorns secured a late point against the San Diego Wave as the game finished 1-1. Reyna Reyes' 86th-minute goal pushed the Thorns up to third on the table. Mackenzie Arnold started in goal for the Thorns while Kaitlyn Torpey was an unused substitute against her old side.
USL
DC Power remained undefeated when they drew 2-2 with Brooklyn FC. Morgan Aquino started in goals for DC.
Sweden
Malmö FF defeated Alingsås 4-0 to keep themselves one point off the summit of the table. Sara Fornes scored a brace in the comprehensive victory. Courtney Nevin started and played the full game for Malmö.
AIK Fotboll fell to a 2-1 defeat to Växjö DFF. Two first half goals were enough for Växjö to secure three points and give themselves a buffer to the relegation zone. Jada Whyman was in goals for AIK.
Vittsjö GIK were defeated 2-0 by Norrköping. Goals from former A-League Women’s player Deborah-Anne De La Harpe and Svea Rehnberg consigned Vittsjö to defeat. Daniela Galic started and played the full match for Vittsjö.
Kristianstads DFF kept themselves in the top three race with a 2-1 victory over Brommapojkarna. All three of the game’s goals came in a rush just before half-time, while Filippa Widén’s goal in first-half stoppage time proved decisive. Amy Sayer and Remy Siemsen both started for Kristianstads.

Frauen-Bundesliga
TSG Hoffenheim fell to a heartbreaking last-minute defeat against Werder Bremen. Selina Cerci equalised for Hoffenheim in the second half before Emðke Pápai’s goal in the 90th minute made it 2-1 for Bremen. Jamilla Rankin started for Hoffenheim before being withdrawn midway through the second half.
Eintracht Frankfurt take on RB Leipzig tomorrow, 2am AEST.

SC Sand defeated Ingolstadt 1-0 to remain top of the table after five games. A first-half penalty to Julia Matuschewski proved the difference. Alana Murphy came off the bench at half-time for Sand.
France
Lyon defeated Saint-Étienne 2-0 to keep their title defence on track. Lindsey Heaps and Marie-Antoinette Katoto were the goal scorers for Lyon. Teagan Micah was not named in the matchday squad.
Italy
Wini Heatley's AS Roma secured their spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League league phase after beating Sporting CP 3-2 on aggregate.
