Chelsea demolished Manchester United 6-0 to send off legendary head coach Emma Hayes with a win and claim their fifth-straight WSL trophy. Mayra Ramírez scored in the second minute to set the tone before goals to Johanna Kaneryd, Sjoeke Nüsken, a second for Ramírez, Melanie Leupolz, and Fran Kirby – an emotional 85th-minute goal for the departing fan favourite - hit United for six.
It was the end of a campaign that wasn’t always smooth, but one where they were ultimately triumphant. Their WSL victory – thanks to goal difference - cements Hayes’ legacy as one of the greatest managers in women’s football history, and almost certainly in WSL history.

Sam Kerr was unavailable for the second half of the season after rupturing her ACL in January, but was front and centre of her side’s celebrations after contributing four goals and two assists in the eight WSL games she was able to take part in this campaign.
Manchester City did their part, defeating Aston Villa 2-1, but it wasn’t enough to clinch the title. Mary Fowler opened the scoring to give City the lead before Rachel Daly equalised for Villa. Lauren Hemp’s 77th-minute goal, assisted by Fowler, sealed the victory for City, but not before the news had filtered in of Chelsea’s big win at Old Trafford.
Fowler started and played the full game for City. The 21-year-old finished the season in spectacular form, with four goals and four assists in her run of seven starts in a row since mid-March.

Alanna Kennedy also started at centre-back before being substituted in the 66th minute for England legend Steph Houghton, playing in her final WSL game before retirement.
Bristol City couldn't send their fans off with a result, the relegated team losing 4-0 to Everton. Katja Snoeijs, Sara Holmgaard, Emma Bissell, and Martina Piemonte were on the scoresheet for The Toffees. Clare Wheeler started the match in midfield and played the full 90 minutes. The result means that Everton finish the season in eighth while Bristol are relegated with only one win and six points all season.
Arsenal farewelled club legend Vivianne Miedema with an emotional 5-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. Alessia Russo scored an early brace before Miedema added her name to the scoresheet moments after entering the pitch. An own goal, and a late fifth to Frida Maanum sealed the result.
Steph Catley, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Caitlin Foord all started the match for the Gunners. They will reflect on a season of missed opportunities, finishing only five points away from the top in third. However, they did come away with silverware after clinching the Conti Cup, and their third-place finish qualifies them for the UEFA Women’s Champions League next season.
Charlie Rule was unavailable for Brighton through injury.
Liverpool finished their season with a flourish, defeating Leicester City 4-0. Sophie Román Haug scored early before a second-half hattrick to Leanne Kiernan snuffed out any chance of a Brighton comeback. The Reds have been the surprise package of this season, finishing in fourth, and will hope to build on that result to push the top three in the next campaign.
Teagan Micah was unavailable for Liverpool. Courtney Nevin and Remy Siemsen were both second-half substitutes for the Foxes. Leicester finished lower than they would have liked on the table and will hope to regroup in the off-season.
Late goals from Jessica Naz and Drew Spence meant that Tottenham Hotspur defeated West Ham 3-1. It was a good season for Spurs, making the FA Cup final for the first time in their history and finishing sixth on the ladder. West Ham meanwhile finished in eleventh – well clear of relegated Bristol in the end, but at the same time, well below what they would have envisaged.
Charli Grant started the match at left-back for Spurs and played the full 90 minutes. Since joining in January, she made eight WSL appearances for the side, including five starts. Meanwhile, Mackenzie Arnold started in goals for the Hammers, while Katrina Gorry remains unavailable with injury.
France
Lyon are champions of France for a remarkable seventeenth time, defeating PSG in the play-off final 2-1. Early goals to Delphine Cascarino and Kadidiatou Diani gave Lyon an early lead that they were ultimately able to hold on to. Tabitha Chawinga’s 73rd-minute goal gave PSG some hope, but ultimately Lyon came out on top.

Ellie Carpenter started the match at right-back and played the full 90 minutes. It is the third Division 1 Féminine title for the 24-year-old. She will be hoping to add a third UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy to the collection in the final next week.
Clare Hunt was an unused substitute for PSG. She made 13 appearances in the league and six in the UWCL this season, her first in Europe after a breakout FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™. The final marked her third game back in the matchday squad after recovering from an injury that kept her unavailable for around six weeks.
Sweden
Two dramatic late goals meant that BK Häcken defeated AIK 2-1 on Saturday. AIK took the lead in the 73rd minute thanks to Maja Elisabeth Johansson. However, goals to Matilda Nildén and a stoppage-time winner for Anna Sandberg gave Häcken the three points. Aivi Luik was unavailable due to injury.
Clare Polkinghorne and Amy Sayer's Kristianstads DFF take on Växjö DFF on Tuesday, 3am AEST.
United States
San Diego Wave were defeated 2-1 by Bay FC on the weekend. The Wave took the lead through Kyra Carusa in the first half, but a goal to Scarlett Camberos, as well as a late Hanna Lundkvist own goal meant that Bay FC walked away with the victory. Emily van Egmond started and played the full match for the Wave while Kaitlyn Torpey was an unused substitute.
Denmark
Winonah Heatley was on the scoresheet with a goal and an assist as FC Nordsjælland made light work of their Danish Cup semi-final opponents, beating Naestved 10-2 in the second leg, and winning 17-2 on aggregate.

The win means that they will defend their title against Brøndby IF in the upcoming cup final. Heatley started the match before being withdrawn in the 70th minute.
