Some familiar faces return from injury/personal leave, with Sam Kerr and Cortnee Vine making their much-anticipated return to the squad.
Joe Montemurro has named a 24-player squad for the games against Wales and England during the October FIFA Women’s International Window in the UK.

Returning players
Sam Kerr receives her first call-up in 692 days, with the forward returning to the squad for the first time since November 2023 after sustaining an ACL injury in January 2024.
This will be the first time the forward has been called into camp under head coach Joe Montemurro; however, she was part of the team’s last camp in Perth as she continued her rehab from her injury.

Cortnee Vine has been called back into the squad, with the forward’s last call-up coming during the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The winger comes into the squad for the first time in 2025 off the back of some crucial minutes with club side the North Carolina Courage in the NWSL.

Katrina Gorry also comes back into the squad, with the midfielder missing Australia’s last three FIFA International Windows through injury and personal leave.

The midfielder returns to the squad for the first time since the SheBelieves Cup.
Upcoming milestones
Pending selection, Hayley Raso also stands to mark her 100th appearance for Australia – an achievement that would see her become just the 17th player in CommBank Matildas history to reach the century mark.
Raso hit cap no. 99 during Australia’s game against Panama in July, captaining the side on two occasions during the window.

The forward made her debut in June 2012, alongside Alanna Kennedy and Steph Catley, who she will join in the 100 club.
Uncapped players
Goalkeeper Jada Whyman comes into the camp as the only uncapped player in Joe Montemurro’s squad.
The shot stopper has been impressive this season for AIK, keeping 7 clean sheets as her club currently sits in 8th place.

Whyman has been a regular in camp, receiving her first call-up in September 2018, however, is still awaiting that first cap for her country.
See the squad for the upcoming October FIFA International Window.
