Group A

Sam Kerr's Chelsea opened their UWCL campaign away to Lydia Williams' Paris Saint-Germain, with Kerr making the start up top for the visitors.

Kerr looked dangerous early, threatening Sarah Bouhaddi in the PSG goal. However, it would be defender Millie Bright that would notch the matchwinner just before the half-hour mark.

Erin Cuthbert's cross found Bright at the back post to put Chelsea ahead. Kerr aimed to double the Blues' lead when she spotted Bouhaddi off her line but was unable to send her long-distance attempt into the back of the net.

Williams did not feature on the bench for PSG after an ankle injury has seen her sidelined. Chelsea now hosts Vllaznia next week, while Paris travels away to Real Madrid.

Group C

Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley both started for Arsenal as they faced the reigning UWCL champions, Ellie Carpenter's Olympique Lyonnais.

Foord opened the scoring before the quarter-hour mark, with Beth Mead finding the Aussie unmarked on the back post.

Frida Maanum doubled the advantage before Melvine Malard notched a goal back for Lyon. Mead found the back of the net herself before the break, to send the visitors into the interval 3-1 up.

The Gunners came out firing, with Foord and Mead both doubling their advantage to see Arsenal record a 5-1 victory.

Catley played the whole game as centreback, denying Lyon from finding the back of the net again. The win sees Arsenal move to first in Group C.

Group D

Lastly, Teagan Micah's FC Rosengård opened their UWCL group stage away to FC Bayern München.

The German giants started the stronger of the two sides, with Micah forcing Lina Magull's effort from long-range over the bar.

At the other end, Rosengård finally broke the deadlock, scoring from a corner through Loreta Kullashi.

Bayern clawed back the equaliser through Carolin Simon to send the sides to the break at 1-1. Linda Dallmann scored the matchwinner to see the hosts take all three points.

Rosengård now has the tricky task of facing last year's runners-up Barcelona in their next match in Group D.
