Morgan Aquino returns to the A-League Women's, signing a deal with the Central Coast Mariners ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The goalkeeper returns to the A-League Women's after spending two years in the USA with DC Power FC.
Aquino made her A-League Women's debut in the 2019/20 season for her hometown club, Perth Glory, coming off the bench against the Western Sydney Wanderers, making 3 appearances in her debut season.
A season at Brisbane Roar for the 2020/21 season, where she made four appearances, was followed by her returning to Perth Glory. She established herself as the starting goalkeeper for the 2023/24 season, playing every game for Perth Glory and making 126 saves, the most of any other goalkeeper in the league.
The goalkeeper's breakout season with Perth Glory saw her earn a place on the PFA and A-League Women's Team of the Season and be named the Perth Glory Player of the Season.
Aquino then made the move abroad to the USL Super League in the United States, signing with DC Power FC as part of the inaugural roster for the 2024/25 season. She became the first-choice goalkeeper at DC Power, making 22 appearances in her first season and keeping five clean sheets.
Following a standout season in the USA, Aquino earned her first senior call-up for the CommBank Matildas ahead of their two games against Chinese Taipei in November 2024.
The 2025/26 season saw Aquino pick up where she left off with DC Power, making 18 appearances and keeping 4 clean sheets.
Aquino was included in her first major tournament squad for Australia when she received a late call-up for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ following a knee injury to Jada Whyman days out from the opening game in Perth.
After claiming the 2024/25 Championship title, Central Coast Mariners finished the 2025/26 season in seventh place and missed out on finals football based on goal difference.
The Central Coast Mariners will kick off their 2026/27 season against Brisbane Roar on the 17th of October at Gioca Stadium in Brisbane.
