First and second in the regular season face off in the A-League Women’s Grand Final this weekend.

Melbourne City are the premiers but have struggled in finals over the past few seasons. They’ll be out to exorcise their demons in front of their home fans on Saturday. Holly McNamara won the golden boot during the regular season and will be a key part of their attack, while Leticia McKenna scored in the semi-final tie and will be hoping to replicate that on the biggest stage.

The Wellington Phoenix will be the first team from New Zealand to compete in an A-League Grand Final. They have been led by American striker Makala Woods, while youngsters like Pia Vlok have provided a glimpse into the future of Kiwi football.

It will be a fascinating match-up between the two best teams in the league this season.
