Elsewhere, Wini Heatley's AS Roma went down to Juventus on penalties to defend their crown in the Serie A Cup final, and Steph Catley made her 100th WSL appearance in Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

Manchester City continued their winning start to the WSL season with a 4-2 victory over Liverpool. The defending champions opened the scoring early through Lauren Hemp, before Liverpool found a reply in Alice Bergström's equaliser. Both teams found the back of the net again in the second half, sending the game into the break locked at 2-2. An own goal from Liverpool and a 95th-minute goal from Hemp sealed the victory as City made it three from three. Mary Fowler started for Manchester City and was replaced in the 62nd minute.
London City Lionesses bounced back from defeat last week with a 4-1 victory over Charlton Athletic. A brace from Isobel Goodwin and goals from Jana Fernández and Nicole Anyomi sealed the win for the visitors. Emily van Egmond and Leah Davidson both started for Charlton while Alanna Kennedy missed the game due to injury.
Ellie Carpenter’s Chelsea made it back-to-back wins with a 2-0 victory over Birmingham City. Carpenter played her part in Chelsea's first goal, making a bursting run into the box and putting in a cross that was saved, but only as far as Lexi Potter, who fired it home from close range. Melvine Malard came off the bench to seal all three points with the Blues' second of the afternoon, as Carpenter was named Player of the Match in the victory.
Arsenal salvaged a late point against Manchester United following a 1-1 draw. Julia Zigiotti looked to have sealed the Red Devils' first points of the season with her goal in the 67th minute, before a 95th-minute equaliser from Smila Holmberg rescued a point for the Gunners. Steph Catley started for the home side in her 100th WSL appearance, while Caitlin Foord came off the bench and Kyra Cooney-Cross was an unused substitute.
Brighton & Hove Albion played out a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, as both sides looked for their first victory of the season. Gabby George opened the scoring for the Seagulls before the half-time interval, scoring her first goal for the club. Villa found the equaliser in the 89th minute through Lynn Wilms to ensure they went home with a point. Charlie Rule was not named in the matchday squad.
Tottenham Hotspur continued their unbeaten start to the season, recording a staggering 7-0 victory over Crystal Palace. A straight red card for Palace's Fuka Tsunoda in the 7th minute meant the newly promoted side had to play almost the entire match down to 10, with the floodgates opening for Spurs in the second half, finding the back of the net seven times. Clare Hunt remains unavailable for Spurs as she recovers from injury.
Everton picked up a late victory, forcing an own goal from the Hammers' Laia Codina in the 94th minute to ensure a 1-0 win. Holly McNamara and Clare Wheeler both started for the Toffees.
WSL2
Nottingham Forest continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Durham, with Forest recording their first win of the season. Goals from Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah and Georgia Brougham saw Nottingham take home all three points. Alana Murphy started for the visitors, while Leticia McKenna was named to the bench for the first time since signing for the side.

Sweden
Malmö FF held on to their place in third and sealed all three points with a 3-0 victory over Djurgarden. Charli Grant started at left back for Malmö, playing the whole game, while Amy Sayer and Courtney Nevin came off the bench for the hosts to ensure victory.
Daniela Galic’s Vittsjö GIK fell to a late equaliser from Växjö DFF to walk away with a 2-2 draw. Galic played the full game for Vittsjö, who remain in 7th place on the ladder with seven games left in the season.
Bryleeh Henry, Isabel Gomez, Remy Siemsen and FC Rosengård were on the wrong side of a late match-winner, with IDK Norrköping scoring in the 96th minute to take home all three points. Rosengård thought they had done enough to steal a point following a goal in the 81st minute, but succumbed to a late match-winner that saw them move to 12th on the ladder and inside the relegation spots.
United States
Portland Thorns snapped their three-game winless streak with a 4-1 victory over the Orlando Pride. Mackenzie Arnold started in goal for the Thorns, who lifted themselves into fifth spot on the ladder, with goals coming from Nina Nijstad, Sophia Wilson, Morgan Weaver and Renee Lyles.
Gotham FC maintained their place five points clear on top of the table with a late 2-1 win over North Carolina Courage, with a goal from Jordynn Dudley in the 91st minute ensuring Gotham claimed all three points. Sam Kerr played the full game and picked up the assist on Dudley's first of the game. Gotham became the first side to clinch a playoff spot with five games left of the regular season.
Germany
Eintracht Frankfurt extended their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-2 victory over Mainz. After going into the break 2-0 down, Frankfurt scored three goals in the second half to ensure all three points. Hayley Raso came off the bench to start the second half, while Jamilla Rankin was an unused substitute.
Italy
Wini Heatley's AS Roma suffered another defeat to Juventus in the Serie A Cup final. Roma had a 2-0 lead heading into the hour mark of the game, but a penalty slotted in the 97th minute by Juventus sent the game into extra time, tied at 2-2. Last year's reigning Serie A Cup Champions, Juventus, made it back-to-back titles after winning 4-2 on penalties. Heatley was an unused substitute in the decider.
Canada
Kahli Johnson’s Calgary Wild unbeaten run came to an end, going down 3-1 to Ottawa Rapid. Johnson's side went into the game on a six-game unbeaten run, but Ottawa proved too strong, taking all three points as they sit three points behind Montreal in first place. Johnson started the game for fellow Aussie Leah Blayney's side and was replaced in the 59th minute.
