Kristianstads DFF ended BK Häcken’s run of wins on the weekend, holding them to a scoreless draw. The result sees Kristianstads remain in fourth – albeit with a game in hand on third-place Hammarby IF – while Häcken fall two points further away from first-place FC Rosengård, who are yet to drop points this season.
Clare Polkinghorne started and played the full match for Kristianstads. In positive news, Aivi Luik played 65 minutes for Häcken after making her return from injury from the bench.
United States
The San Diego Wave’s winless run has extended to eight games, falling 3-0 to the Chicago Red Stars on Saturday (AEST). Goals to Mallory Swanson and Jameese Joseph sealed the result for the Red Stars in the second half. Emily van Egmond started for the Wave while Kaitlyn Torpey was a second-half substitute.
