Malmö FF were held to a scoreless draw by Piteå. The result sees them move back into third, but fourth-place AIK have a game in hand. Courtney Nevin and Amy Sayer started for Malmö while Charli Grant was not in the matchday squad.
Vittsjö GIK take on FC Rosengård midweek, Tuesday 3am AEST. Remy Siemsen, Bryleeh Henry and Izzy Gomez will all be available for Rosengård in their first game back in the league.
United States
Gotham FC defeated the Houston Dash 1-0 to go to the top of the table. Sam Kerr scored the winner early in the second half, continuing her fantastic form since re-joining the club. She started and played 67 minutes.
The Portland Thorns had a horror second half against the Utah Royals, losing 5-1. They scored in the first minute, but four goals after the break consigned them to defeat. Mackenzie Arnold was in goals for the Thorns.
Germany
Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Strasbourg 1-0 in their final friendly before UWCL qualifiers this week. Hayley Raso started in the victory, while Jamilla Rankin came off the bench in the 72nd minute.
Frankfurt will now face Omonia Nicosia in the semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying on Thursday morning at 3am (AEST). Should the German side overcome the side from Cyprus, they will face the winner of Courtney Nevin, Amy Sayer and Charli Grant's Malmö FF clash with Hana Lowry's Vålerenga for a place in the third and final stage of qualifying.
England
WSL clubs commenced pre-season recently, and Everton is already in on pre-season friendly action.
Everton defeated Hamburg 1-0 in Germany, with Clare Wheeler starting and Holly McNamara making her first appearance in an Everton shirt.
