Sam Kerr continues to hit the ground running after her return in the NWSL, netting her third goal and fourth contribution since arriving at Gotham FC in mid-July.
Elsewhere, Kahli Johnson scored as Calgary Wild continue winning ways in Canada, and Hayley Raso and Jamilla Rankin both started for Eintracht Frankfurt as they defeated French giants Lyon in a pre-season friendly.

Sweden
FC Rosengård fell 1-0 in a tight clash against Eskilstuna United. An 81st-minute goal for Bella Sember was the difference between the two sides. Rosengård remain 13th out of 14 teams in the Damallsvenskan, four points away from safety. Bryleeh Henry, Isabel Gomez and Remy Siemsen all started for Rosengård.
It was a better result for Malmö FF, who defeated Uppsala 6-0. There were five goals in the first half as Malmö blew their opposition away. Courtney Nevin started at left-back while Amy Sayer was a second-half substitute. Charli Grant was an unused substitute.
United States
Sam Kerr was on the scoresheet yet again as Gotham FC overcame Kansas City Current 2-1. Amelia White scored for Kansas City in the opening minute, but that was overcome before half-time for Gotham, with Kerr’s 41st-minute goal giving them a lead that they did not relinquish. She started and played the whole game for the league leaders.
A dramatic late winner has lifted the Portland Thorns to a 2-1 victory over the Orlando Pride. Scores were locked at 1-1 96th minute goal for substitute Caiya Hanks stole all three points at the death. Mackenzie Arnold was in goal for Portland, making five saves in the match.
Canada
The Calgary Wild toppled the league leaders in extraordinary circumstances, winning their second game of the season 4-3 against the Ottawa Rapid. Kahli Johnson got scoring underway with a back post header and assisted the second with a fantastic pass. A second yellow card for Ottawa’s DB Pridham in the second half made life difficult, and Calgary were able to hold on to inflict the Rapid’s first defeat in ten games.
Germany
Hayley Raso and Jamilla Rankin both started for Eintracht Frankfurt in their 2-1 friendly victory against Lyon. It’s promising signs ahead of their Bundesliga campaign getting underway next week, as well as the UWCL two-legged third-round qualifier against PSG later this month. Teagan Micah travelled with Lyon to the game but did not start in goal.
England
Manchester City drew 2-2 with Barcelona in a pre-season friendly. Mary Fowler assisted City’s second with a wonderful through ball to Grace Clinton.
Alanna Kennedy's London City Lionesses continued their pre-season with a 1-1 draw with Sporting CP Futebol.
Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley both featured in Arsenal's pre-season defeat to AC Milan in Spain, going down 3-2 as the side continues their preparations for the upcoming season.
Italy
BVB Dortmund defeated AS Roma 1-0 in a pre-season friendly. Wini Heatley did not start but continues to be involved in pre-season for Roma.
