Sam Kerr continues to do what Sam Kerr does, scoring a goal and picking up an assist in Gotham FC's victory over the weekend.
Elsewhere, Daniela Galic scored her sixth goal of the season in Sweden, while Leticia McKenna made her first goal contribution in Nottingham Forest colours with an assist in the WSL2.

England
WSL
Manchester City began the round with a 1-0 victory over Charlton Athletic. There were good signs from Charlton against the league leaders, but the Addicks ultimately ended the match still four games without a point. Emily van Egmond started for Charlton but was forced off in the first half due to a facial injury, while Leah Davidson played the full match. Mary Fowler, meanwhile, played the full match for City in her 100th appearance for the club as the centre forward in the absence of Khadija Shaw.
London City Lionesses defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0. The highlight of the match was Spanish star Alexia Putellas scoring her first goal for the club in the first half. Alanna Kennedy and Charlie Rule were both unavailable for their respective clubs due to injury.
Tottenham Hotspur continued their fantastic start to the season, defeating Aston Villa 4-0. Victoria Pelova scored a brace as Spurs ran away with the result in the second half. Clare Hunt remains unavailable for Tottenham as she continues to rehabilitate her knee injury.
The Merseyside Derby ended with Liverpool triumphant, 2-0 victors over arch-rivals Everton. Goals at either end of the match proved too challenging for the Toffees to overcome. Clare Wheeler played the full match for Everton while Holly McNamara was a second-half substitute.
Finally, Chelsea pulled off a massive victory in front of home fans, overcoming Arsenal 1-0. A first-half Alyssa Thompson goal was the difference between the two sides. Ellie Carpenter created three big chances for Chelsea in a commanding 90-minute performance on the right flank for the Blues. Steph Catley and Kyra Cooney-Cross both started for Arsenal, while Caitlin Foord was a second-half substitute.
WSL2
Bristol City played out a scoreless draw with Burnley on the weekend. Despite compiling over 2.5 expected goals, Bristol were not able to find the required breakthrough. Alexia Apostolakis played the full game for Bristol and helped them keep their clean sheet.
Leticia McKenna picked up her first goal contribution in the WSL2, assisting the equaliser in Nottingham Forest’s 1-1 draw with Southampton in her WSL2 debut. Her well-played pass for Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah set up the long-range effort that earned them the point. She was a second-half substitute for Forest while Alana Murphy played the full game in midfield.
Newcastle United defeated Leicester City 4-0 in a comprehensive performance against the newly relegated side. The result means that the Magpies are now four wins from four, having scored eleven goals so far and only conceding one, and are looking incredibly hard to stop. Kaitlyn Torpey played the full match at left-back, making four interceptions and eight recoveries defensively while also completing three successful dribbles of her own.
Sweden
Daniela Galic was on the scoresheet as Vittsjö GIK defeated Kristianstad DFF 3-1. She scored the first goal to give her side the lead before they secured the result after half-time. It is her sixth goal of the season in a year where the 20-year-old has been consistently starting and contributing to the team’s success.
Malmö FF were defeated 3-1 by IF Brommapojkarna. Malmö scored first but were overrun in the second half. Amy Sayer and Courtney Nevin both started for Malmö, while Charli Grant replaced Nevin in the 62nd minute.
FC Rosengård secured a massive three points, defeating Piteå 1-0 to lift them out of the relegation zone. A second-half goal was the difference between the two sides. Remy Siemsen and Bryleeh Henry both started and were influential in the win. Isabel Gomez was not in the matchday squad.
United States
Sam Kerr was the star for Gotham FC, scoring and assisting in the team’s 3-1 victory over Chicago Stars. She put a ball across the face of goal for Shaw to finish early in the game, before scoring a pinpoint header from a Guro Reiten cross in the second half. Gotham are six points clear on top of the table with four games of the regular season remaining.
The Portland Thorns drew 1-1 with the Houston Dash. The Thorns looked headed for defeat after an early goal to Houston, but an 85th-minute equaliser saw them rescue a point. Mackenzie Arnold was in goal for the Thorns as they remain inside the top eight, but with plenty of work to do in the remaining games of the season.
Germany
Eintracht Frankfurt eased past their opponents in the DfB Pokal Women's Cup, defeating Karlsruher 6-1. Hayley Raso started the match while Jamilla Rankin came in to replace her in the 60th minute.
Italy
Como started the Serie A Women season with a 2-1 victory against Ternana. A second-half goal for Agnete Neilsen was enough to secure the win. Alex Chidiac was an unused substitute for Como.
Defending champions AS Roma got their season off to a positive start with a 3-1 victory over Sassuolo. Despite the home side managing an equaliser early in the second half, Roma were largely in control, and eventually made the weight of their chances count. Winonah Heatley was a late substitution for Roma.
Canada
The Calgary Wild continued their late-season surge, defeating the Vancouver Rise 3-1. They had to come from behind but scored three goals in the second half to secure the points. Tori Tumeth started and played the full match for the Rise, but Kahli Johnson was not in the matchday squad for the Wild.
Norway
Vålerenga were comprehensive 4-0 victors over Molde on the weekend. The result sees them remain in fourth, three points away from third, and continues their red-hot winning streak. Hana Lowry was a second-half substitute for Vålerenga.
