Chelsea advanced to the League Cup final after a 1-0 victory midweek, while Arsenal fell short of the same goal against Manchester United.
The Gunners will have a chance to redeem themselves when they take on Chelsea in the WSL this weekend, with up to five CommBank Matildas set to feature in that match.

England
League Cup Semi-Finals
Manchester United defeated Arsenal 1-0 midweek to advance to the League Cup final. Elisabeth Terland scored in the first half and – despite accumulating over 2xG – Arsenal were unable to equalise. Their job was made more difficult by Olivia Smith’s red card in the second half. Caitlin Foord started for Arsenal while Steph Catley was an unused substitute. Kyra Cooney-Cross has returned to the UK but was unavailable for this game.
Chelsea will meet Manchester United in the final after defeating Manchester City 1-0. Wieke Kaptein scored the only goal of the game in the first half. Sam Kerr and Ellie Carpenter both started for Chelsea as they got one game closer to another trophy. Mary Fowler remains unavailable to play for City in the final stages of her ACL rehabilitation.
Women’s Super League
Everton hosts Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, 6am AEDT. A win for Everton would see them pull away from the relegation battle, while Brighton is hoping to make a late push for a top-half finish. Clare Wheeler will be available for Everton, while Charlie Rule will be available for Brighton.
Chelsea and Arsenal face off in the biggest match of the round on Saturday, 11.30pm AEDT. Chelsea must win to remain within touching distance of top-place Manchester City, while Arsenal are only just clinging onto third, and will be looking over their shoulder at Tottenham and Manchester United, who could both overtake them. Sam Kerr and Ellie Carpenter will be available for the Blues, while the Gunners coul feature Steph Catley, Caitlin Foord and Kyra Cooney-Cross.
Emily van Egmond’s Leicester City take on Katrina Gorry’s West Ham on Sunday, 10.55pm AEDT. The Hammers are only one point above bottom-place Liverpool and will hope a win against fellow strugglers Leicester can lift them away from relegation danger.
Tottenham Hotspur travel to take on aforementioned Liverpool on Sunday, 10.55pm AEDT. A win for Spurs could lift them into European qualification places if their rivals Arsenal drop points against Chelsea. Clare Hunt will be available for Spurs while Charli Grant continues to nurse a knee injury.
Finally, Manchester City will have a chance to consolidate top spot when they take on London City Lionesses on Sunday, 10.55pm AEDT. For their part, the Lionesses are looking to make a push to finish in the top half and set a foundation for next season. Alanna Kennedy will be available for London City, while Mary Fowler is close to being available for Manchester City.

France
Lyon will take on Marseille in the Coupe de France on Sunday, 2am AEDT. Lyon’s record in the Cup has been far from spotless in the past few years, and they will hope to right that wrong this season. Teagan Micah will be available for Lyon.
Germany
CommBank Matildas will be on opposite sides in Germany this weekend when Hayley Raso’s Eintracht Frankfurt hosts Jamilla Rankin’s TSG Hoffenheim. Both sides are within touching distance of European places, and this game – the first in the Frauen-Bundesliga in 2026 - shapes up to be a crucial six-pointer.
Italy
AS Roma will be looking to extend their seven-point lead on top of the Serie A Femminile table when they take on Genoa on Sunday, 10.30pm AEDT. Roma are heavy favourites for the fixture against a Genoa side currently deep in a relegation battle. Winonah Heatley will be available for Roma.
Alex Chidiac's Como hosts Inter Milan on Monday, 1am AEDT. Como would be doing Roma a massive favour if they were able to take points from second-place Inter, while they themselves target a European qualification place.
Sassuolo and Napoli face off on Monday, 1am AEDT. Sassuolo are currently only two points clear from the bottom of the table and will be looking for any result to lift them into midtable. Jessika Nash and Jacynta Galabadaarachchi will both be available for Sassuolo.
