Match Day Guide: Allianz Stadium

The CommBank Matildas will play their first game on home soil in 2025 when they host Korea Republic at Allianz Stadium on Friday night. We've got you covered with everything you need to know before the game. 

🚪 Gates Open 🚪

Gates open at 6pm for the event, ensure you head to the gate listed on your ticket for a seamless entry into the stadium.  

Check your tickets are saved to your phone or printed out prior to arriving at the stadium.

🤫 Sensory Rooms 🤫

Need a quiet space to retreat and recharge at one of our live events? We’ve got you covered.

Allianz Stadium is proud to announce the opening of our new sensory room. Designed by expert sensory artists, this space gives patrons a temporary quiet area away from the noise and crowds. 

Our sensory room was built with all patrons in mind but designed with a particular focus on supporting our neurodiverse customers. 

The room is located near Gate 2 but you can ask any of our friendly customer service staff during an event and they will guide you to the space.

👕 Merchandise 👕

Merchandise will be available at the following locations at Allianz Stadium: 

  • Container - outside Rugby League Central (Open from 4pm)
  • Container - outside Gate 5 (Open from 4pm)
  • Internal Merchandise stores - located once entering the stadium

Get your hands on our new home, away and goalkeeper kits, as well as beanies, scarves, shirts, and more. 

🙌 Fan Zone 🙌

Our fan zone will be located at Gate 3 and Gate 5. Get the chance to meet some of the CommBank Young Matildas at the fan zone at Gate 3. DJ, Face Painters, Allianz "Decibel Meter", Heatbeat of Football and Sports Heads will also be at this gate. 

🚌 Public Transport 🚊

Around 40,000 people are expected to attend the CommBank Matildas v Korea Republic match, ticketholders are urged to plan their trip and consider the public transport options to avoid heavy traffic. Travel on public transport is included in event tickets, simply show your ticket or members card to transport staff when boarding services. 

We recommend using public transport as the best way to get to the match.

Ⓜ️ Metro Ⓜ️

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.

Change at Central to connect with light rail services towards Moore Park from Chalmers Street.

🚊 Train 🚊

The closest stations to Allianz Stadium are Central and Bondi Junction. 

From Central, catch a light rail service to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.

Fans heading home to the north shore after the game please be aware that train trackwork will be taking place between North Sydney and Central. Catch Metro services from Central to travel across the harbour and connect with north shore line trains. 

🚌 Bus 🚌

A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.  

Additional late night services to Coogee, Clovelly and Maroubra will run from 10pm on routes 373, 396 and 339 to help you get home.

After the game, express event shuttle buses will also run from the Moore Park bus terminal outside the stadium back to Central to supplement light rail services.

Keep in mind that buses and light rail services will be busy. Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to minimise wait times for transport services. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

🚉 Light Rail 🚉

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for light rail replacement buses to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.  

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the stadium.

Additional light rail services will run before and after the game. Queues are expected, so be patient and allow plenty of extra time, particularly when leaving the stadium. Consider walking if able to (approximately 25-minutes) as light rail services will be very busy. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with trains to Central from Parramatta Station. From Central, catch a L2 or L3 Line service to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the stadium.

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

🚗 Car 🚗

If you have to drive, carpool with your group and allow extra travel time as traffic will be heavier than usual as fans travel to and from the match. Fans are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid traffic delays during the already busy weeknight evening peak.

Parking on-site at Moore Park is expected to reach capacity quickly so consider the alternative parking option outside of the precinct and continue your trip by light rail or bus. See more info on parking below.

Changed traffic conditions:

  • Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 5pm and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area. 
  • No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas maintained from Lang Road.

Moore Park Car Parks

Parking will be in high demand. Carpool with your group, plan to arrive early and have a back-up plan as the following car parks are expected to reach capacity quickly: 

  • Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Flat-rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road. 
  • Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park (limited capacity due to upgrade works): Open from 5pm. Entry via the northern end of Driver Ave from Moore Park Road.
  • Showground Field (EP3) grass car park: Open from 5pm. Cashless, flat-rate event parking fees apply. Entry on Driver Avenue via Lang Road.
  • Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School: Car Park open from around 5pm. Cashless, flat-rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the stadium.

♿︎ Accessibility ♿︎

Event goers requiring accessible parking must book a general parking space in advance and park their vehicle in a designated accessible parking space on the day.

  • There are a range of accessible parking options for patrons attending an Allianz Stadium event in either EP2 and EP3 off Driver Ave and Entertainment Quarter car park off Errol Flynn Boulevard.
  • Accessible parking is available on ground level in either EP2, EP3 and Entertainment Quarter car parks.
  • Mobility impaired patrons can be dropped off in the north of Driver Ave off Moore Park Road (Closest to Allianz Stadium) and in the south off Driver Ave off Lang Road.
  • Arrangements for picking up mobility impaired patrons must be made prior to the match ending. For those wishing to pick up persons, please make contact with the Greater Sydney Parklands Rangers and/or NSW Police on the night who will be able to assist.

🍔 Food 🥟

Allianz Stadium is a cashless venue. The stadium has a range of different food outlets around the stadium for spectators: 

El Loco, Fish & Chips, Totti's Pasta Bar, Bert's Bistro, Healthy Bowls, Jimmy’s Falafel, Ms.G’s Noodles & Dumplings, Sushi, The Chicken Shop, The Coffee Shop, The Kiosk, Vinnie's Pizza, Vinnie's Gelato & more.

A number of these food outlets have gluten-free and vegetarian options.
