Mary Fowler signs new deal with Manchester City until the summer of 2027

Mary Fowler has signed a new contract with Manchester City in the WSL, which will see her continue her stay in Manchester, extending her contract at the club until the summer of 2027.

Fowler, who originally signed from Montpellier in 2022, has been an important part of the side since making her debut in the 2022 season.

The 2024/25 season saw Fowler score six goals and record seven assists. The season saw her make WSL history, becoming the first player to notch at least two goal involvements in four successive matches.

Despite Fowler's season getting cut short with an ACL injury sustained in April, she was the only Manchester City player to hit double figures for goals and assists across all competitions.

Fowler's record-breaking season in Manchester saw her selected for the 2024/25 PFA WSL Team of the Year, voted for by professionals across England’s top division, and named on the list for the first time in her career.

“City has felt like home for me for quite a while now, so to continue this journey with them, I’m really proud to do that,” she declared. Fowler said after re-signing.

“As my seasons here have progressed, I’ve become a lot more comfortable in this environment, and I think I’m the kind of person who plays a lot better when I’m comfortable with the people and coaching staff."
