Leah Davidson has made the move to England, signing with newly promoted Charlton Athletic in the WSL on a two-year deal, marking her first overseas move after five seasons with Melbourne City.
The midfielder joins the newly promoted Charlton Athletic in the WSL, marking The Addicks' debut in the top-flight after securing promotion last season.
Charlton achieved this historic milestone by defeating Leicester City in the WSL play-off in May 2026 on penalties, securing their long-awaited promotion to the top flight.

"I spent six years at Melbourne City, and honestly can’t say a bad word about the club. Loved it, grew as a player and a person, but I thought I can’t say no to this opportunity, and I can’t wait to get started."
Davidson's time at Melbourne City saw her help the side to three consecutive premierships and two championships, completing the double in the 2025/26 season that saw the midfielder make her 100th appearance for the club.
The midfielder will join fellow Australian and former CommBank Young Matilda, Grace Johnston, at the club, who signed from Perth Glory last week.
After signing her first overseas contract after playing in the domestic league for eight years, the midfielder will be hoping to gain invaluable experience competing against Europe's best.
Davidson has made four appearances for Australia since making her senior debut in November 2024, scoring one goal in the process.
The 2026/27 WSL season will kick off on September 4th, with the draw for the upcoming season expected on Thursday, 30th July.
