Kyra Cooney-Cross nominated for the FIFA Marta Award 2025
Kyra Cooney-Cross' goal against Germany has been nominated for the FIFA Marta Award 2025 for the best goal of the year, with voting now open.
The FIFA Marta Award, introduced last year, celebrates the best women's goals scored between 11 August 2024 and 2 August 2025 (inclusive), with fans and experts to decide who should take home the women’s and men’s prizes.
Kyra Cooney-Cross marked her 50th appearance for Australia with her first goal when she scored against Germany, picking up the ball inside the Germans' half and unleashing a shot from deep to beat the keeper.
