Jessika Nash returns to the A-League Women's, signing a two-year deal with the reigning champions and premiers, Melbourne City, ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The defender returns to the A-League Women's after spending the last year in Italy with U.S. Sassuolo Calcio.
Nash made her debut in the league for Canberra United in the 2020/21 season, making 85 A-League appearances across five seasons in the competition, first with Canberra, then Sydney FC and then helping Central Coast Mariners to the 2024/25 Championship.
The young defender brings plenty of experience to the side, having represented her country at two U20 FIFA Women's World Cups, captaining the side in the 2024 edition of the tournament. At only 21 years old, the defender already has four senior appearances to her name, with her first cap for Australia coming back in 2021 at just 17 years old.
“Melbourne City is a Club that has consistently set high standards and competed for trophies, so I’m really excited to be joining this group,” Nash said.
“The ambition of the Club, the quality within the squad and the opportunity to compete for silverware both in Australia and Asia were all big reasons why I wanted to come here.
“I’ve learned a lot from my experience overseas, and I’m looking forward to bringing that back with me, continuing to develop my game and doing everything I can to help the Club achieve more success.”
Melbourne City will kick off their A-League Women's season against Wellington Phoenix FC in New Zealand, a rematch of the 2025/26 Grand Final that saw City claim the domestic double after a 3-1 victory in the decider.
