Jamilla Rankin continues her journey in Germany after first signing with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in 2024. The Australian defender has now secured a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, taking the next step in her career by joining one of the Frauen-Bundesliga's top clubs.

The defender has signed a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt that is valid until 30 June 2029, joining fellow Australian Hayley Raso in Frankfurt.

Rankin's first overseas move saw her sign with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in August 2024, signing a three-year deal with the club. The defender made 37 Women's Bundesliga appearances across two seasons with Hoffenheim, scoring one goal in the process.

“The move to Frankfurt is the right next step for me in my career. Eintracht Frankfurt are a great club with fantastic fans. I’m delighted to be here.”

“Jamilla is a player with a very exciting profile. She is a versatile defender and can play both as a left-sided centre-back and as a left-back. She is already very familiar with the Bundesliga, and has gained valuable international experience with the Australian national team. We’re very happy she’s joined us.” Sporting director Babett Peter said.

Eintracht Frankfurt finished the 2025/26 season in third place and ensured a place in the second round of qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League.

The side played in the inaugural UEFA Women's Europa Cup last season, going down in the semi-finals 3-0 to the eventual champions, BK Häcken.

Frankfurt's UEFA Women's Champions League campaign kicks off next month when they host Cypriot side AC Omonia in their first game of qualifying. Should they beat Omonia, they will face the winner of Vålerenga and Amy Sayer and Courtney Nevin's Malmö FF for a spot in the next round of qualifying.
