CommBank Matildas midfielder Isabel Gomez has signed her first overseas contract, making the move from the Central Coast Mariners to Swedish side FC Rosengård.
The reigning Julie Dolan Medal winner makes the move abroad and will join fellow Australian Remy Siemsen at Rosengård, signing a two-year deal with the side and will be set to join the side from mid-July.
Gomez will bring a wealth of experience to the Rosengård side, having claimed the Julie Dolan medal in the 2025/26 season and helping her side to the 2024/25 Championship, being named MVP in the Final.
Rosengård currently sits in the relegation zone after 10 games of the season, having only picked up one win, and will be aiming to get back to their best, which saw them claim the title in 2024.
The midfielder made her A-League Women's debut in 2020 with the Western Sydney Wanderers, then had a stint across the ditch with the Wellington Phoenix for their inaugural season in the competition.
Her breakthrough came when she joined the Central Coast Mariners for the 2023/24 season on their return to the league. Gomez was named on the PFA A-League Women's Team of the Season in 2024/25 and 2025/26, and her remarkable form saw her receive her maiden call-up to the CommBank Matildas at the end of 2024 for a series against Brazil and Chinese Taipei, but she had to withdraw from the squad due to injury.
Gomez's debut for the senior national team would come in June 2025, coming off the bench in a friendly against Argentina when she was subbed on at Canberra's GIO Stadium.
