In a matter of days, Asia’s best women’s football nations will learn their fate when the Final Draw for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ takes centre stage at Sydney’s iconic Town Hall on Tuesday, 29 July.
The Final Draw will be broadcast live at 7pm AEST on Paramount+ here and on the AFC Asian Cup YouTube channel here.
With all 12 teams now confirmed, the tournament’s official draw will determine the Group Stage match-ups for Asia’s most prestigious women’s football competition, which returns to Australia from 1–21 March 2026 across Perth, Gold Coast and Sydney.

The 12 participating teams will be drawn into three groups of four, with the top two teams in each group and the two best third-placed teams advancing to the knockout stage.
As hosts, Australia will be designated as the top seed and occupy position A1 as the 2010 champions embark on a quest to reclaim the throne on home soil under newly appointed head coach Joe Montemurro.
The seeding, based on the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking (June 12, 2025), and pot allocations for the Final Draw are as follows:
Pot 1: Australia (HOST), Japan, DPR Korea
Pot 2: China PR, Korea Republic, Vietnam
Pot 3: Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Uzbekistan
Pot 4: IR Iran, India, Bangladesh
The first ticket release, featuring Multi-Match Packs, went on sale on 18 July with thousands of fans from every state and territory across Australia already snapping up tickets, demonstrating the power of women’s football to draw nationwide interest and the willingness of fans to invest in the biggest women’s football tournament in our region.
