Holly McNamara has made the move to England, signing with Everton in the WSL, marking her first overseas move after five seasons with Melbourne City.
The forward makes the move overseas for the first time after back-to-back Golden Boots in the A-League Women's, and helping Melbourne City complete the premiership and championship double in the 2025/26 season.
“It is unreal to be here, especially at Goodison Park,” McNamara told evertontv. “It is such a special stadium. I am very lucky to be here and I am super excited to get started. Everton have such a rich history that drew me to the Club.
“It is a good club that has great ambitions and a great project in the next few years – that got me excited. A big thing that drew me towards Everton was also the chance to play in the best league in the world.
“It is so competitive, any team can beat anyone. You can see the names across the division who are just amazing – they are the best players in the world. It is a huge thing for me to play in that best league in the world.
“I can't wait to try to do everything for this club to win. To do as well as we can. I am super excited to meet the fans and play games at Goodison Park.”
McNamara joins fellow Australian Clare Wheeler at the club, who has made her mark on the Toffees since making Merseyside home back in 2022.
The striker will wear the illustrious No. 9 jersey with Everton, and will be hoping to bring her goalscoring form from the domestic league to the Women's Super League.

Everton finished the 2025/26 WSL season in 8th place, but showed promise throughout their campaign, beating Chelsea and ending their 31-game unbeaten streak.
The 2026/27 WSL season will kick off on September 4th, with the draw for the upcoming season expected on Thursday, 30th July. Everton will next be in action during a pre-season friendly against Hamburger SV in Germany.
