FIFA set to announce the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™ Match Schedule

FIFA are set to release the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™ Match Schedule tonight in Zurich. The schedule will be released alongside the draw for the upcoming Play-Off Tournament, which will see six teams battle for a spot in the final phase of the inter-confederation play-offs.

The draw for the Play-Off Tournament will take place at the Home of FIFA in Zurich at 10pm AEST on Thursday, 20 August 2026 and will be streamed live on FIFA.com, TikTok and YouTube.

An additional highlight of the live draw will be the release of the match schedule for the final tournament. The first version of the calendar of games will unveil which fixtures each of the eight venues will host, as well as which locations the host nation, Brazil, will play their group stage matches in.

The six teams that have qualified for the play-off tournament (Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan from the AFC, South Africa and Ghana from CAF, Ecuador from CONMEBOL and Papua New Guinea from the OFC) will compete for two spots in the inter-confederation play-offs. They will then meet two teams from CONCACAF and one from UEFA in the final phase of inter-confederation play-offs; three teams will qualify from this for the showpiece event in Brazil.

Qualified Teams

AFC, CONMEBOL, CAF & OFC have all finished their qualifying tournaments for the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™. Australia were the first team to qualify after the hosts, Brazil, with the CommBank Matildas booking their spot in Brazil following their win over DPR Korea during the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ quarter-finals.

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has been the most recent confederation to see teams qualify for the tournament following the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. The champions, Cameroon, will be joined by Morocco and two tournament debutants in Algeria and Malawi for the final tournament. After failing to beat South Africa in the play-in matches, this will mark the first-ever FIFA Women's World Cup™ tournament where Nigeria has failed to qualify.
