Cortnee Vine has signed with the reigning A-League Women's Champions and Premiers, Melbourne City, after spending the last two years with the North Carolina Courage in the NWSL.
The forward returns to the A-League Women's after last playing in the league back in the 2023/24 season with Sydney FC, helping the Sky Blue to the A-League Championship, beating her new team 1-0 in the final.
Vine joins Melbourne City ahead of the 2026/27 season and will be looking to help City defend their domestic double. City has seen six players who helped them to the title last season move overseas, with Vine joining a squad looking to defend its domestic double.

The forward's time in the A-League Women's competition saw her start her career with Brisbane Roar in the 2015/16 season, making her debut against Western Sydney Wanderers at just 16 years old.
Vine then made the move to Newcastle Jets for the 2017/18 season, making 21 appearances and scoring 4 goals during her time with the Jets. A season at Western Sydney Wanderers then followed for the 2019/20 season, before the forward landed at Sydney FC for the 2020/21 season.
Scoring 30 goals for Sydney FC in 65 appearances and helping the club to three premierships in a row and the 2022/23 championship, Vine made a name for herself in Sky Blue that saw her called up for the CommBank Matildas.
The forward made her debut for the side during the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup in India against the Philippines, but perhaps her most memorable memory so far in green & gold was scoring the winning penalty kick during Australia's 7-6 shootout win over France in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup that saw Vine become a household name, sending the hosts into the semi-finals for the first-time.
Vine's time with the North Carolina Courage saw her sign midway through the 2024 season as a free agent, making 22 appearances and scoring two goals during her time in Cary.
