CommBank Matilda Mary Fowler has been withdrawn from the October international window due to personal circumstances. The decision was made following discussions between Fowler, Manchester City and CommBank Matildas staff.
Fowler has been replaced by midfielder Leah Davidson, who joins the squad from Charlton Athletic FC. Davidson has made four appearances for the CommBank Matildas since her international debut against Chinese Taipei in December 2024, scoring one goal.
The CommBank Matildas will face Germany (Karlsruhe, October 9) and Haiti (Paris region, October 13) in the two-match window.
The fixtures will provide Australia with a chance to measure itself against two very different styles of opposition, adding further variety to the team’s preparations for next year’s FIFA Women's World Cup.
