CommBank Matildas Squad Notes: Familiar faces return from injury

CommBank Matildas Head Coach, Joe Montemurro, today confirmed a 24-player squad for the upcoming November/December FIFA Women’s International Window in Gosford and Adelaide.

The named squad remains a combination of experience and emerging talent, with Montemurro focused on refining and developing depth across the team in their last outing ahead of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™.

Returning Players

The squad features the return of three familiar faces to the camp, with Tameka Yallop back in the squad for the first time since Australia's two-match series against the Korea Republic in April. Yallop missed the last three international windows due to a hamstring injury sustained during the end of the 2024/25 A-League Women's season.

Yallop made her return for Brisbane Roar in the 2025/26 season of the A-League Women, scoring in their opening game of the season, a 3-2 win over Melbourne Victory.

Her fellow Roar teammate, Chloe Lincoln, also returns to the squad after last featuring during Australia's games against Panama in Perth. Lincoln made her starting debut in Australia's 3-2 victory over Panama in Perth, making a number of key saves to ensure Australia took the victory.

Lincoln has made the move in the off-season from Western United to Brisbane Roar and was at her best in their opening game of the campaign, making seven saves.

Kahli Johnson is the third familiar face to return for Joe Montemurro's side in their final two games of the year. Johnson had a debut to remember back in May, making her starting debut and scoring a goal in front of 43,000 people at Marvel Stadium against Argentina.

Johnson sustained a hamstring injury during her second apperance for Australia, forced to leave the field at GIO Stadium in Canberra just 34 minutes into her second start.
