In Behind the Matildas, brought to you by Rebel, we take fans behind the scenes of the CommBank Matildas' two-game series against Olympic gold medalists Canada.

The CommBank Matildas' shared their long-haul journey from Europe back home, to playing in Brisbane and Sydney against Canada.

Welcoming the reigning Olympic Gold Medalists Canada, the journey kicked off in Brisbane where camp begun. The players' share their thoughts on being back in camp and look ahead to the FIFA Women's World Cup on home soil next year. 

Playing at two of the venues for Australia's Women's World Cup group games, Suncorp Stadium was the backdrop for the first game. Making our return to Brisbane since March 2019. The team then had a fan day in Brisbane before depearting for Sydney, playing the first-ever football match at Allianz Stadium, the venue for our opening game of the Women's World Cup on home soil.
