Alex Chidiac has signed for F.C. Como in the Serie A Femminile, making the move to Italy from Melbourne Victory in the Ninja A-League Women's, signing a contract with the club until June 2028.

Chidiac's time with Victory saw her awarded the Julie Dolan Medal for the 2024/25 season, awarded annually to the player voted to be the best player, which was Chidiac's second time claiming the award.

F.C. Como finished the 2024/25 Serie A season in 6th place, missing out on sealing a spot in the Championship round by three points. The team recorded seven wins in the latest season and will be hoping the signing of Chidiac and striker Veronica Bernardi can help them boost their 2025/26 season.

Chidiac brings a wealth of experience to the side, with stints with Atlético Madrid in Spain, JEF United Chiba in Japan, Racing Louisville in the USA, and Mexican side Tigres UANL.

“I’m very happy to have joined F.C. Como Women. Playing in Italy has always been one of my goals: I’ve long wanted to immerse myself in the beauty of the culture and lifestyle, and to compete in a league that really suits my playing style,”

“Ever since the club’s relaunch, I’ve followed its journey with great interest and have always appreciated its full commitment to women’s football.”

The midfielder becomes the second Australian to make the move to the Serie A, with Wini Heatley joining AS Roma.
