Alana Murphy has signed for Nottingham Forest F.C. in the Women's Super League 2, making the move from SC Sand in the 2. Bundesliga.
The midfielder joins Nottingham on a permanent deal until June 2027, after moving from SC Sand. Murphy signed for the German side in August 2025 shortly after making her senior debut for Australia.
Nottingham Forest Women Head Coach, Carly Davies, said: “Alana is an incredible talent, and we are over the moon to have her on board and part of this team.
“Alana adds a new dynamic to our midfield with her experience playing in Australia, Germany and on the international stage with the Matildas.
“She is a great character for this group, and one we are sure will excite the Forest fans at the City Ground.”
Following the signing, midfielder Murphy talked about her new club, "I’m really pleased to join Nottingham Forest, and I’m ready for a new challenge and think I can contribute a lot to this team.
“I can’t wait to join this group of players, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve this season.”
Nottingham Forest currently sit in 7th place on the table with 19 points, 7 points behind the top three and a chance at promotion. Forest take on Charlton Athletic in their next WSL 2 match-up, with The Addicks currently sitting at the top of the table.
