Adriana Taranto signs for Adelaide United in the A-League

Adriana Taranto signs for Adelaide United in the A-League, making the move from Western United ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 season.

The midfielder makes the move after spending the last three seasons in Melbourne with Western United, signing a one-year deal with the Reds alongside her twin sister, Melissa.

Taranto recently made her senior debut for Australia against Panama, having made two senior appearances for the CommBank Matildas. 

“I’m so excited to sign with Adelaide United for this season. This is a club that has given me another opportunity to grow as both a player and a person in the A-Leagues. I’ve always admired Adelaide United and the high standards they set."

Taranto made 55 appearances for Western United during her stint in green, scoring six goals across all 3 seasons.

Adriana and Melissa Taranto are the most recent signings for the Reds, joining the likes of Australian youth internationals Emilia Makris, Lara Gooch and Holly Murray. 

Adelaide United kick off their 2025/26 season against the reigning Champions, Central Coast Mariners, on the 2nd of November at Polytec Stadium.
